Autumn Clobber

Isn’t autumn the most beautiful time of year in nature.  I love where I live for seeing and being amongst it.

I also love the transition into winter clothes and being able to bring out my favourite Fly London boots and opaque tights.

I’ve added this gorgeous green Scottish knit jumper to my winter wardrobe.  It’s one I picked up in Ulverston, near to our caravan in the Lake District.

Last winter’s outfits included the Dr. Who / Urchin look and providing it still fits I think I’ll be wearing it again.

You’ll not catch me walking through the dell in a fleece and a pac-a-Mac or waterproof trousers.

Home sweet home

Looking forward to sorting through my clobber and coordinating a few more outfits.

Two baskets and a wheelbarrow

Saturday
"Are we going out ?" I said to the welder

"I'm not going in the charity shops or buying anything if we are".

"Why's that" said he.

"Because I've already got 33 short sleeve dresses, 16 sleeveless, 16 long sleeve,
4 pinafores, 14 two piece suits, 26 jackets not including the ones on the rail in the office or the ones in the downstairs wardrobe, 13 pairs of trousers and don't get me started on the mammoth amount of knitwear, boots, shoes and bags.  Oh, and I haven't mentioned blouses and skirts.

I did however get these two baskets
and a wheelbarrow from our favourite antique shop just in case.

The urge to go in the charity shops was kerbed by having cake and coffee in our favourite eatery
The Old Coop at Todmorden, Yorkshire

Sunday spent the day blending in with my lampshade.
Well it is a day of rest.

Thanks for dropping by
Lynn x

ps.  If you are wondering when I wear all this clobber, well its every day.
Don't you ? I'll admit it is a bit excessive haha

More clobber than days to wear it

After much humming and aahing about the weather we decided to stay
in on Saturday, but couldn't resist the pull of a trip over to
Todmorden for brunch in The Old Coop and a bit of charity shop foraging.

It resulted in me finding this vintage St. Michael wool two piece
in the RSPCA shop for £4.50

and this gorgeous Scandanavian made skirt for £5
 in the Greyhound Rescue shop

I've teamed it with this stripey long sleeve T-shirt
and my red cardi that I've had for ever and wear
constantly (both charity shop finds)

I'm obviously going through a stripey top phase

Sadly this jacket is to tight and will probably get
passed onto one of my less well endowed friends.
Gutted really as I love it.

Wait while you see what's else is coming up.
I'm having a great time finding clobber so far this year
and there's not enough days in the week to wear it all.
