One down and another on the way

Goodbye January
I’ve rested
I’ve nested
And with the new month around the corner
my little notebook is filling up with things I’m going to do.
It’s becoming very exciting

Yay I’ve been at my desk

Well at last I’ve had a visit from my mojo.
Don’t know if it’s a flying visit or if it’s planning
on hanging around for a while.

I’m playing along with Stitch A Week with the very talented Leah Halliday and this week’s Stitch is backstitch.

I’ve done some really dodgy wonky stitches on
this brick effect white wallpaper.

I may not be the Mary Berry of stitching
but I’m happy with my little wall hanging.

Right that’s me done.
It’s back into the Clobber Closet to
see if I can find my bobble hat.

Snowdrops and a fat Buddha

Snowdrops and mittens go hand in hand as we move towards the end of January.

Looking at the tummy on my little garden Buddha it would seem he broke his New Years resolution to stay off  the Jaffa cakes.

I’ve gently moved through the first month of the year reading, resting and looking at daily rituals.

I’m going to put a jug of flowers on my office desk, a cosy cushion on my chair and use a pretty pot for my pencils
.

Above everything I’ve stopped overthinking things and what a great release that is.  Try it !

Grab a cuppa

For new blog friend Connie and her followers and anyone who likes to meet new people, I’d like to show you the fabulous blog of Ann Wood from Brooklyn, New York.  Maybe you know her already.

I love when an email pops up to tell me she has a new post.  I know I’m in for some interesting and inspiring reading, with great pictures and ideas for crafting, cooking, stitching and some interesting people

Grab a cuppa, pull up a chair and prepare for some awesomeness

Take a look, see what you think and let me know

I’ve got the Blues

Can I say a big thank you to the new followers this week and a thank you to Connie for introducing my little blog to everyone.

I’ve been to the local library today and wasn’t expecting to get afternoon tea, it was a lovely surprise.
The reason for the treat was that British watercolour artist Geoff Butterworth was giving a talk on his work

Do you like my new blue and white jug, mug and notebook?  I got them with the money hubby gave me for Christmas.  It’s amazing how far £5 will go.  Only kidding Philip hee hee.
They are made by British ceramics artist Kate Thorburn

I’m partial to a bit of blue and white, can you tell.
I’m off on the hunt round the house now for more.
I’ll report back when my mission is accomplished.

Over and out folks

OH, MY GIDDY AUNT

Oh my giddy aunt I've had the most wonderful piece written about my little blog by a lovely lady in America.

I'm super excited can you tell.
That's my sister at the back of me. She won't thank me for showing her off.

Connie, who has a great blog herself has written about my sewing,

 crafting

and love of all things vintage as well as charity shop foraging.
Here's me with friends at Stockport Vintage Fair last year.

You can read what Connie wrote here.
Grab yourself a cuppa and pop across and have a look, its lovely.
