AUGUST ROUND UP
EEH! YOUVE BEEN A BUSY MONTH
A birthday
Lunch treat with my bestie
A pension
A return to Oxford
A stay with my sister
A meet up with Instagram chums
Stopping off to see special friends
A return to bookshops and the library
Donating blood
And a special christening
Now we move into September and all it will bring.
Starting off with a new prompt for the
Take one patterned fabric and one base fabric
Rework it in ten different ways.
Using what’s left of a charity shop find lined curtain I bought for
£3 a few years ago, here’s what I’ve come up with so far.
When I originally got the curtain it was made into a dress
by my clever friend Val.
WHAT I’M READING
Look at the hardcover on this library book I borrowed, isn’t
it amazing. It’s such a shame to hide it
Well that’s it folks from me for this week.
We are off on a road trip today to Barrowford and Pendle Heritage Centre.
Sorry if I didn’t get round the desks last week and
thank you all for your lovely comments.

ReplyDeleteYeah I prefer the actual book cover to the slip jacket for sure! Your multiple re-workings of that material are all just fab. How do yo keep coming up with them all? Your jacket? You and Scarett o'Hara! I think I prefer yours.

Oh my word - that book cover!
ReplyDeleteenjoy the Heritage Centre - it is a lovely place (You may have this comment twice - my laptop did a 'silly - and my first version vanished half way through ๐๐)
I love what you did with the fabrics, and I also loved them when they were a dress! I am also secretly coveting that coat you are wearing! Love the book cover too, nice that they made an effort under that dustjacket. Happy WOYWW! Elle #11, EOTC
ReplyDeleteYou have had a glorious month haven’t you, and I’ve really enjoyed it all vicariously! I’m looking forward to your September! Love that you kept the left overs from the curtain and suddenly have a use for…ten ways is a bit challenging for my noggin. Astonished that you didn’t make the dress up yourself, is there a reason for that, Ms Von Trapp?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful textiles!
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW!
Stay safe and keep well!
