WHEN IT'S COLD OUTSIDE THINK PINK ....

I started making a little notebook this morning

when really I should have been working in the office.

I will have to go back to it as I REALLY am on the last 

minute with our company VAT return. 

Anyway after a few hours I was fed up and my feet were cold

So I decided to write about what Postman Dave 

brought me this week instead.

I needed a gift for someone and 

it arrived in this hand illustrated envelope. 

Its done by Doodle Ink Jacques of Radstock.

 

This gorgeous package of stitched pocket bags, stickers and paper string

came from Vicky at THE LINEN GARDEN

 The beautiful flowers are not from Postman Dave but were sent to one of my lovely friends and came from my niece's new florist

The background paper came from Paperchase, its double sided,

 and the pretty crotchet flowers from a lovely lady in Ireland.

I will have to finish my work tomorrow as 

I've come to the end of my flying by my pants time.

 Before Postman John went off on his two week holiday in the sun he brought me these lovely packages.

 These lovely buttons came from Diana of Velvet Moth Studio after I sent her an article I had seen in a magazine that I thought would interest her.

  Then my lovely friend Mo in Scotland, Mo's Flickr site, sent me a crotchet doily to include in my embroidery work.  Look at the great tape on the envelope and this fabulous handmade card.

I  have to show you this bundle of trims I got from the indoor market in Rochdale, Lancashire.

The town gets a lot of flak for being its lack of shops and market stalls but I have to say anyone who wants haberdashery make straight for this stall.

On a dull, wet Friday Postman John made the sunshine with the parcels he brought me.

 Some fantastic photo cards of the work of CAROLYN SAXBY along with one of her lovely beaded crystals and some midnight blue eyelash yarn.

 I know its not Christmas but I could'nt resist these white cards.  They are going on my inspiration wall to help me with the new course I am starting on Monday with Karen Ruane.

Speaking of Karen, my second parcel was from her in the form of this beautiful fabric & paper embroidery. It is stunning and that also will influence my forthcoming course work.

The map peg was made by my friend Jacqui and the map is of Ayside where our caravan is sited.  She also made me the little red cushion which is now on display in my studio/workroom. 

Look at this lovely collage made by Logan who is five this week and lives in Scotland.

He made it with the help of his grandma who sent me this lovely card and sprinkly bits.  I've already used some in a box I've sent out.  Thank you Mo and have a great birthday Logan.
