I feel like a fella

What I mean is

I've never worn trousers so much in my life

as I have this year

Will someone tell the weatherman that I've got nice summer frocks

hanging in my wardrobe waiting to be worn.

At this rate I will be putting a vest on

Come on Mr Sunshine put in an appearance
we only get one heating allowance in this house.

Summer essentials....

Laugh if you will but my summer essentials
are a basket full of Jelly Shoes
to be worn with absolutely everything

I'm going to have a rainbow of colours of them
as they are the most comfortable and versatile
sandals on the planet.

They have taken over from my winter Fly London boots.

And if you are thinking
"oh they won't look good on me, my feet are to big"
well you've no need to worry there as I take a UK size 8.
They don't get much bigger than that.

Think I might wear my yellow ones next

You can pick them up in most stores I think but mine came from

Before you go, I just want to show you this fabulous stitched/painted picture
that friend Ruth Zanoni Roskell made from the photograph
she spotted of us Vintage Gals at Stockport Vintage Market.
Isn't it fabulous

A week in my thrifted wardrobe

Monday
I do love a good charity shop find
like this orange H&M skirt at £2.49 and cardigan £2.50

Tuesday
was a special birthday lunch with friends,
one of who was 70 so we treated her to a posh nosh.
Dress made from a curtain.

Wednesday
Looks like I've been seriously drawn to orange this week

Thursday
This skirt and jacket are favourites of mine
Wool jacket £7

Friday
I'm still wearing that mustard cardigan with yet another curtain skirt

Saturday
I wore the jacket I had got the week before for £4.50
in the RSPCA shop

Sunday
Back in a curtain frock and a tricel cardigan.
Seen here with Mr Dapper Chap and gorgeous friend Vix.

Monday
and I am wearing this fab Missoni-esque dress from
friend Vix of Kinky Melon Retro Boutique who was trading at
Stockport Vintage Village on Sunday.
Its teamed with charity shop belt and crotchet top.  Fly London boots
and biker jacket because the weather has turned cold again

A peep in my wardrobe

After so many lovely comments about my clobber over on Instagram I thought I'd put a few photo's together of how I make it all work.

Mostly it is all  bought from charity shops, vintage fairs or made from old curtains
I have lovely vintage trader friends who know what I like.  Among them are Marie - The Queens Drawers, THE QUEENS DRAWERS LINK Vix - Vintage Vixon Retro Boutique.  VINTAGE VIXON LINK
Our monthly visit to Stockport Vintage Village and The Vintage Emporium at Pear Mill Stockport are also great places to buy STOCKPORT VINTAGE VILLAGE LINK

When I start losing my marbles I will be able to look on here at what to put with what haha.
See you soon
