Postman Dave's been .......

Lovely Postman Dave has been today with this inspirational little word bobbin
made by the fabulous Tina Gilmore of Indigo Moon.
She is such a talented and lovely person.  Thank you Tina.

I've got a bit of a brown thing going on here with my pictures.
When we were in York over the weekend at the Festival of Vintage
I used it as a good excuse to visit Duttons for Buttons.
Well, its the equivalent of a sweetie shop but less fattening.
Its like stepping back in time in when you enter.
Have a look at the link for photo's.
Mr Dapper Chap picked up two Tootal ties and these lovely brogues
at the Vintage Festival
Don't think he will get his big toe in these little boots though.
The wooden chain is going to be revamped to include a textile piece.
I giggled when I saw this as I know you like a challenge.
So go on, what is it ?

Jessie Chorley workshop at Indigo Moon

Friday evening was spent in the great company of these two, Tina and Jessie.
We visit Jessie's shop when we go down to London, its a must if you are a stitcher/papercrafter and love vintage.  Even if you are not its such a lovely shop so go and have a look.

Tina Gilmore owner of Indigo Moon in Montgomery, Wales along with her lovely hubby Gav has a fantastic stock of antique furniture downstairs and upstairs a gallery and studio.

On Saturday they had me hard at work all day creating a journal from an old book.
Look at the concentration on my face.

There's still tons to do in it but I'm happy with the way its going.
At the end of a very creative day we had a show and tell.
This is the front cover of a wedding journal  Hilary was making.
The wedding is to be held in France and its on my birthday.
This is one of the rooms in Tina's shop/workshop.  I could have stayed forever.
These cuties are made by Tina's friend Nichola  Hulmston better known as Ninneynoo
and can be found on Facebook.
When we were ready for leaving on Sunday,
after picking up the wooden cabinet soon to be housed in my workroom,
Tina gave me a gorgeous gift of two of her miniature
framed pieces and a card with some very special words in.
Thank you Tina, Jessie & Gav.
Not forgetting Nichola and Emma for all the cuppas and cake.
A special hug for Lizzie the golden retriever

It was a fantastic weekend

PEOPLE WHO INSPIRE ME........ TINA GILMORE

I came across mixed media artist TINA GILMORE the other day via artist CATHY CULLIS.

Here is a statement Tina makes about herself

"I am a Mixed Media Artist living in Montgomery, Mid Wales. When i'm not creating i'm found in my shop Indigo Moon here in Montgomery where we sell gorgeous gifts, art and Vintage items, i love chatting to people so call in if you're in the area or visit my blog at www.clarityandblur.blogspot.com "

I hope you enjoy Tina's work as much as I do.
If you look at her Clarity & Blur  you can then link to her Flickr site and Etsy shop.
Lots to look at.
