It’s Wednesday again and that means we get to have a look what everybody has been working on.

That was a busy week, but all in a good way. I’ve been out having fun with Instagram friends in Cumbria
In between travelling up and down to the Lake District I found time to make a little present for a friend who is not very well at all and I finished off making the patchwork curtains for the utility room
I’m hoping this pile of books will help keep my friend’s mind of things until she is back up and at ‘em again.
For myself I’ve booked on a workshop in Milnthorpe, Cumbria where I will be making a paper bouquet of flowers with the very talented Corinne Young.
I’ve also got a summer project to take with me to Anne Brooke’s studio workshop in Brighouse, Yorkshire, on a PHD (projects half done) day in a couple of weeks.
I’m trying my best not open it all properly until the day as I know all the ladies will love the unveiling ceremony. It’s like the anticipation of opening your presents at Christmas heehee. It’s so beautifully wrapped, full
of surprises and smells divine.
Have a great week at your Workdesks everyone
Lynn xx

Happy whizz day. I'm rather later starting my visits this week because I've been head down bear making all morning [ sorry it saddened you that I was cutting up such a gorgeous dress] plus have just had to shorten an urgently required pair of trousers too...it's all go here lol.

ReplyDeleteLooks like you've had a busy week. It's nice to be able to give friends a little something now and then, I think I enjoy it as much as receiving something myself especially when they obviously enjoy what you give them. Hope you're having a great woyww, Angela x13x
ReplyDeleteSuch thoughtful gifts! Looks like you've had a busy and fun time! Happy WOYWW Helen #1

ReplyDeleteI love your term, "PHD" I sound so knowledgeable since I am working on several! Anxious to see your makes from the paper flower workshop, please share.
ReplyDeleteHappy
wednesday!
How lovely to gather a collection of gifts for your friend, Lynn. I hope she feels better soon. I love the paper flowers, and I hope you enjoy that workshop and will have some photos to share with us.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I still haven't sent off that parcel of crafty goodies to the Hospice but when I get time I want to go through some things because I'm sure there is more. I have a friend who always finds crafty stuff in charity shops etc. and gives them to me, and they are not always things I would use. Also, as you will see from my blog posts, life has been pretty busy here of late and I've had hardly any time to be in the studio. I'm up to my eyes in the accounts again at the moment and there's always cooking to do!! Never fear, though, it will get sent off soon.
Happy WOYWW,

Hi Lynn, that's a lovely pic of you with your friends - love the smiles on all your faces. Great looking patchwork curtains too - I've been wondering what to do with all the material left over from my grandchildren's quilts - curtains now springs to mind! Have a lovely week, Heather xx #26
ReplyDeleteGreat gift Lynn, I hope your friend can gently improve. Love the curtains, what a fab idea. With your skill at matching pattern and colour I bet they look fabulous. As you already know, I don’t often stitch for pleasure, but that Linen Garden box is enough to turn a gal, I feel your anticipation from here, it looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful meet-up you've had with your Instagram friends. And what a thoughful presents you've concocted for your friend. I bet she was well pleased! xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing such a lovey post.

You met Julia! I don't recognise the other lady but you all look so lovely together!
ReplyDeleteYay! You've made some curtains. Love your thoughtful gift, hope your friend is on the road to recovery very soon. xxx
