I picked up some lovely French Chambray fabrics at the Trafford Craft Event last week and have ordered some hemp which i am going to use as the main piece of the apron.
Here' one layout I am playing about with. It will be a series of pockets with some laid over others. This is by no means my final idea, I've got loads on the go.

Loving your samples and experiments and it's like doing the course without the time of the work. I love the fabrics you bought at Manchester and I kept thinknig when I was going round the stands... Oooh, Lynn will love this, Lynn will love that, I wonder if she has spotted that, etc. It was so lovely to meet you again but all too short. Sorry we couldn't stay for coffee later.

ReplyDeleteAh I find that - the more I sketch and come up with ideas, the more keep coming..it's a great process. Love the chambray and toile fabrics, you'll really have fun working those. I like the idea of an apron made of pockets..fun and really useful.
