What's on my workdesk this week

I thought I better show you what my ladies made on
our Safety Pin & Bead Workshop

They were amazing, as not only did they make
bracelets they went on to make brooches & earrings.
If you fancy having a go try adding a bead between each pin on the elastic thread. It disguises the thread and gives a more professional finish.
Some even managed to fit in Christmas decorations

Even with all the concentration going on we fit in a lot of chuckling
and chatting.
I've got my work cut out now prepping for three Christmas themed workshops
First time for a look round a few desks

You are my sunshine .....

Some of us in this house don't like
dark mornings

We don't want to get out of bed
We feel drawn to the light
So after a quick look round
for something to distract us from our glum
Its time to go and see the people who can bring us a bit of sunshine.
Even if its only as far as the fridge.

What's on my workdesk today .......

Just time to tell you before I make my way to my desk
that we found these great rusty pieces for the garden
while we were playing out at Vintage Village Stockport
and The Vintage Emporium at Pear Mill

Now I can't stay long as I need to prepare for
the last of the Safety Pin Bracelet Workshops.
I will show you the pics next week.

There's cakes to bake and desks to look round
so hope you all have a good week. See you then.

Winter Clobber

Here's the start of my winter clobber snapped up on Sunday
at Vintage Village Stockport

I thought these trousers are either going to be a big disaster or look the part.
Guess what they worked. Teamed up with a red tricel turtle neck jumper and gold lurex cardi they looked a treat.
They are wool, fully lined and turned out a bargain for a tenner.
You can't tell but my loafers are gold too.

The bag was £8 and I'm loving my Welsh Wool Tapestry cap.

This crotcheted waistcoat and hat had to be the find of the day at £5
its fully reversible and there is not a wool end in sight. So well made.
Did a bit of pottering around the garden today.
No slouchy garden gear for me, donned my retro wool trousers
to add some colour to the garden.
If you like a bit of recycled industrial gear
come back tomorrow to see what I've got in my garden now.

LAMBRETTA, VESPA or another boring ISA ?

Deep discussions went on yesterday at the fabulous
Vintage Village Stockport www.thevintagevillage.co.uk
on whether to ditch the Kawasaki motorbike in
favour of a more sedate Lambretta or Vespa.
While Mr Dapper Chap pondered over the situation we watched the lovely traders receive their awards for favourite traders of the Vintage Market.
Among them our friend Pat of Vintage Affair.
Pat & Matthew sell gorgeous crockery at reasonable prices.
More pondering, this time on whether to invest
in another ISA or blow it on a Vespa
All that talk of scooters left me in the need of cake, so it was a quick five minutes down the road to the Vintage Emporium for a quick fix.
I am going to be trawling the charity shops in search of odd chairs to give my kitchen the same homely feel as the Emporium's tearoom
