 Hospice Charity Shop finds

Have you guessed they are bra's that I have cut up.

Won't they make fantastic pieces for lace work.

No I didnt pay what it said on the tag for these two lovely linen clothes.  Someone must have had a senior moment it should have said 50p.

This is half of the front of the bag I am making out of an old pillowcase made from ticking.

All done through what I have learnt from Karen Ruane Contemporary Embroiderer and her Online Courses.

What's on my workdesk today.....

Well it is not exactly on my desk, it is on my wall.

 As someone who didnt stitch I am amazed at what Karen has managed to bring out in me over the three courses I have done with her.

 And as if she hasn't had enough of me yet I have signed up for her new online course that starts in June.

SIMPLY STITCH 

One of our lessons this week was free motion embroidery on scrim.

I better get back to work now as I got that carried away daydreaming at my desk while I was watching my lace hanging gently swing round I have'nt done  a thing.

SOMETHING TO KICK START THE WEEK ......

MOSAIC MONDAY

I could'nt resist photographing this beautiful cherry blossom outside

 St. Edmunds Church in Rochdale.

I've added snapshots of two canvasses we bought in Porec, Croatia in 2006.

     On the 13th August, which happened to coincide with my birthday

all the artists came out of their studios and displayed their work on the streets and walls of the buildings.  It was a fantastic sight and Philip bought me these lovely pieces which are worked in gesso, oil and embellished with lace.

 Another piece of art we bought while at Lake Garda, Italy

is this cello worked on hardwood again using gesso and oils

 Thats a little peek at some of the wonderful artwork in our home.
