MORE LIVERPOOL TALES

Next time we visit Liverpool we are going to leave our mark on the
dock like many before us have done.
There are hundreds of engraved padlocks all along the quayside.
As well as the three Queens Cunard ships that sailed in at the weekend we saw this fantastic dazzle ship in dock.
You can read a bit more about them here.
This is the artist Sir Peter Blake's tribute to the dazzle ship
If you are not into ships then jump on a bike for a bit of city sightseeing
and if its to cold and windy for that
get yourself into the Tate Gallery on Albert Dock.
Isnt this venetian glass chandelier spectacular
Of course we couldn't come away without doing a bit of vintage hunting.
We found this fantastic shop on Renshaw Street, it was like Aladdins cave inside and the owner was really nice.

Liverpool Here we come

We're off, we're off, we're off in a silver van .......
A bit of Peter Kay car sharing going on here as we make our way to Liverpool.
I sported my £13 Fulton of London dress and jacket and
my £8 German leather knee high boots.
Friday we had a look around Albert Dock where we stayed in the Premier Inn.  Don't stay there at weekend it's very noisy or if you do make sure you get a room on the upper floors and on the Mersey side.
Spotted these skilfully shaped sand dogs.
Philip thought they were real dogs... Should have gone to Specsavers.
Facing Albert Dock is this life size horse made from rope.
Street entertainers are everywhere including this upside down man with his head in a bucket
The Liverpool Empire Theatre put on a great show with

 Brian Conley in Barnum.
The big wheel outside our hotel looked fantastic at night
And just as effective in the day
More to come .....
