WOYWW 660 - Never to old to learn something new

It’s not until you start doing things again that you realise how rotten
you felt when you were poorly.

I feel like I’m entering the sunshine of life again.  Yippee.
We had a treat of lunch out on Sunday.  Returning to normal at last.

This week I’ve started a new textile online course with Jayne Emerson Textile Artist.
I can’t tell you how much fun we have at our zoom meetings.  I definitely found my
tribe with the members of our No Rules Textile Society.  A definite positive to come out
of the pandemic, along with Julia and you lovely Wednesday Workdesk folk.

I love online learning
First lesson - Making a fabric bowl

  1. Wowser, I like that bowl you made. I am sure I once bought some of that water soluble stuff but never used it. Now where did I put it?
Glad you are feeling a bit better, take each day as it comes.

  8. My goodness your bowl is fabulous. I have been reading about water soluble fabric lately and making new fabric from scraps. My machine isn’t suitable for machine embroidery , I did enjoy it when I was at college. Happy WOYWW Angela #2

  11. I am so glad you are entering the sunshine of life again. Even if I'm not ill very often - touch wood, I hope I haven't jeopardized that now - I know exactly what you mean. Your new prompt for the No Rules Textile Society sounds quite daunting to me, but once again you've achieved your goal and what a lovely bowl it is too! Just wow! xxx

  16. Oh goody, you’re feeling a bit stronger and a bit more up to it, that’s grand. I love the bowl, especially that you used all those little bits to make a whole, the stitch stitch stitch is fab, looks so good. So incidentally, does the linen piece in the frame behind the bowl. It would take me hours to look around your room!
