Now doesn’t my pile of UFO’s (unfinished objects) or as I prefer to call them PHD’s - Projects Half Done look neat.
Only thing is I was overwhelmed with the whole lot so I shoved them back on the shelf and decided to show you some stuff I actually finished in the past. I know that’s cheating, but hey these are strange times we are in and it’s allowed.
A little box I made for a friend going through cancer treatment last year.
Message on a bobbin. Made with paper & wire.
I ran some workshops making these a few years ago.
And finally, as I don’t want to push my luck, this is a picture I made for a friend’s birthday. It’s made from old book pages and paper and machine stitched.
Hope I’m forgiven.
Stay safe everyone. I know we are all scattered around the world and it’s affecting us all.
Linking up with

Happy anniversary Lynn. Love the pieces you are sharing this week. It is OK not to get a UFO finished. I certainly still have plenty to be working on. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #15
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary Lynn and I have to say every single project you have created is stunning. Your beautifully arranged boxes of PHD's are a testimony to a creative mind that has many projects on the go. Stay safe and I have to say your insta page is a treat.

You are definitely forgiven in showing these gorgeous little items. I have a bag of wooden cotton reels - I might have a go at one of those. Happy bloggiversary! xx Jo
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a little pile of UFOs Lynn - and I love your three gorgeous projects that you completed. Having gone through cancer treatment, I know how much that beautiful little gift would have meant to your friend. I love your wild and wacky cotton reel project too - what fun!

It's ok to put them back but think you should check with Julia first! Love the box and the insert probably means more than a card. Have a great week. Ani #1

Oh my goodness, your UFOs are beautifully presented and as piles of UFOs go they are very classy but I think I would have put them back on the shelf too - that's one heck of a lot of them!
ReplyDeleteYour pieces are gorgeous - as always! I love the embroidered primrose collage, it's so beautiful and the cotton reel flowers are just gorgeous. I bet your friend was delighted with the little box - what a wonderful way to put a smile on someone's face.

Happy 11th Bloggyversary!! Who cares that your UFOs went back on the shelf - we don't! I love what you did show, especially the collage and stitching in the frame. I'd be tempted to have a go at that one day, I really like the effect.
ReplyDeleteHope you're keeping well - enjoy the celebrations today!

ReplyDeleteWhat’s to forgive? Lovely finishes! I think you need to separate those PHDs so that they are only visible in smaller amounts...or you’ll end up having an entire bookcase dedicated to overwhelming you!
ReplyDeleteI particularly love the message on a bobbin idea, and do you know, I remember the gift box for your friend, and love it still. I can certainly say Lynn that every Wednesday is made special by your gorgeous blog.
Much better to concentreat on the finihsed projects than the UFOs! I love all those you've created, you've got such an amzing imagination. That bobbin is particularly lovely! xxx

Hi Lynn, the projects are lovely, I especially like the birthday present in the white frame! Those PHDs can wait a little longer, I'm sure! Happy Anniversary, glad to be your WOYWW friend! Lindart #40
ReplyDeleteYour work is absolutely gorgeous, particularly the last one.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your return visit, Lynn, and sorry to have worn you out with all my UFOs!! I'm pretty worn out with them all myself if the truth be told!
ReplyDeleteShoshi x #20
I love how you have your ufo's piled neatly up (should I say 'stacked'?) - mine are all over the place. I love your honesty - not just put something up. Good girl!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Neet 5 xx
Hello Lynn! I think all sharing is fair. So no worries if you didn't get to a UFO right now. Your completed projects are lovely. I especially love the box for your friend. It's given me an idea for a project. The only problem is that I will probably won't finish it, only to be added to my UFOs!!! Stay well, thanks for the visit, and I will see you next week!
