Hello desk hoppers
I haven't got a lot to show you as I've been getting nice men
to mend things for me - like a garage door, my computer,
telephones and a tumble drier
I can show you this little tag I messed around with a bit more
or what about a pile of books that I used as part of a book challenge.
No, okay then how about the pumpkins I saw in the garden centre when I took my 84 year old garden mad auntie the other day.
Here's a link to some more desks if you are looking for some inspiration
OK Lynn you made me smile a lot this morning with your tag, books and pumpkins. Glad you are getting all those repairs fro the storm done at last - what a pain that must have been.

Sounds like you have been busy enough without sitting at your desk. Love the tag, books and pumpkins! Have a great week! Vickie #11
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you've been a technological walking disaster zone - that's usually MY role. I have this weird thing with electricity where I stop things working (unintentionally!). Watches are particularly bad, I stop the batteries within three days! Love the pumpkin pic, that would make a great card!!

What a glorious sight the pumpkins are, my goodness a feast for two senses! Glad that you're escaping a bit, the sound of having to line up workmen makes me shudder. We discovered a crack in the bath, i naively thought we'd 'just change it'. No one told me about breaking tiles, two days worth of new pipework and a plumber who just would not stop talking!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn. Oh my - what a time you have been having! Trust all will soon be working, and you will be back at your desk...
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

Now that is a lovely eclectic mix of pics and hopefully the broken things having reached the magical number 3 will stop. Have a lovely week.

Great collection of books! I've looked up some of them on Amazon. Love the stitched tag too. Have you ever noticed that things go wrong in threes? You've got four things listed - I'm not sure what that means LOL! Hopefully not that another two something has to go wrong! Have a great week! zsuzsa #22
ReplyDeleteokay, I'm glad that it's not just me needing a new BBQ, washing machine, repairs to a leak in the shower. lovely stitched tag, Happy WOYWW Vicky #9
ReplyDeletePretty tag. Glad the men are mending things - hope nothing else breaks!
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW

Isn't it nice to get those little nagging things done! We just got a new roof last week (it REALLY needed it!) - the whole thing was done by an 82 year old man - talk about feeling inadequate! He had a helper every once in awhile, but it was mostly him. He even cut down a tree by himself that had fallen on the garage - my brother said he couldn't do it because it would take 2 men. . . and he's 10 years younger than the guy who did do it! The feather is gorgeous, I;m sure an idea will hit you - probably at 3am in the morning! Have a great day! Thanks for sharing - Lindart #43
ReplyDeleteI hope everything gets fixed and working properly! I'm ploughing through my never ending pile of mending and slowly losing the will to live. xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn,
ReplyDeleteI like your self portrait wearing the WOYWW button! Nice tag and the books look very interesting. I wrote some of the titles down to check out further. Glad you spent time with your lovely aunt and enjoyed the pumpkin patch!
Happy WOYWW!
Hugs, Kay (44)
Lovely insight into your world. Happy WOYWW. Elaine no. 16
ReplyDeleteIsn't it frustrating when life stuff gets in the way of creative pursuits. I've had a bit of the same problem this past week. Have a great week! Heather (waywardgypsy) #50? #51?
ReplyDeleteThat tag is so cool! I love the way you incorporated the thread into it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the peek into what's going on with you! :)

Happy WOYWW. I get quite annoyed when hubby disturbs my crafty time because something boring needs sorting out! Great to get jobs sorted out though. Ali x #27
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to be having the men fix things up for you. Can you rent them out! Your tag is really cute and I also am a garden mad person. Too bad my gardens are so small:)

ReplyDeleteAt least you had nice men around to mend things. Hope all is now in working order. xxx
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous little tag - love the stitched detail and the bow, which thanks to you I know how to make!! I love the picture of the pumpkins, you've reminded me I must get out and photograph autumn before it disappears!
ReplyDeleteThose pumpkins are impressive! :) And that collection of books looks interesting!
ReplyDeleteI bet your 84 year old aunt looks forward to your jaunts more than anything else she does. Such a lovely thing that you have this relationship. Urgh, hope all the broken things get mended so you can get on with having fun! Xxx
ReplyDeleteIt´s always nice to have a man doing things for you! :)
ReplyDeletePractical things like fixing a bookshelf ... you know...
Happy creative week!
