It's 7.40pm Tuesday and I am hiding in my
workroom as the storm outside is horibble.
So before I start to clear away the debris of
last weekend's foraging here's a peep at the fabric
bundle I picked up at Beyond Measure, Todmorden.
To further distract me from the thunder and lightening
and lashing rain I am admiring these inspirational pieces
by Vicky Trainor at The Linen Garden
When all else fails, I'll batten down the hatches and
snuggle up with a good book
Can't believe less than two hours ago I was out in the garden.

ReplyDeleteWe had an afternoon of awful thunder with torrential rain yesterday and I really don't like it much at all....of course I had my little furry distraction and that helped a lot. [She sends you a hug]. I love your latest purchases Lynn.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
Hugs,
Annie x # 16
Big hug for little Milly too xxx
DeleteIs that you wearing the WOYWW badge in the last photograph, looks like you to me.
ReplyDeleteLove all your photos that you posted to distract you from the storm, did you have the electric go off for a few seconds and then return`? Scared me silly,
Hugs, Neet 22 xx
Lecki didn't go off but we've no landline now. Yes it is me on the badge. A friend made it for my 60th last year. She's very clever xxx
DeleteHi Lynn, here in Redditch we seem to always just get the edge of storms, I think because we have the Malverns pulling them one way, and the Lickeys the other. Hope yours has passed now. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #9 xxx
ReplyDeleteI spent some time in my craft room yesterday hiding from the heat, we will be having storm tomorrow however.Happy WOYWW Vicky #8
ReplyDeleteWe spent all summer hoping for rain. We finally stopped watering our newly planted trees and have had rain and storms at least once a week. I love a good rainy day, but not stormy. Then I don't feel guilty about crafting, even though there is inside house work to do. Happy Wednesday. LisaDV #37
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! Hope the storm passes quickly.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW

Remember that horrendous storm when you and Philip paid us a visit earlier in the Summer? Yesterday's was quite dramatic but didn't last long. It was quite nippy going round the boot sale this morning but it's gradually warming up now. Talk about a North South divide!
ReplyDeleteLooking lovely in the garden and liking the look of your latest acquisitions, too. xxx
It lasted an hour here and left us with no landline. Not good for business :-(. Xxx
DeleteGreat pictures. Hope the storm passed quickly. Happy WOYWW! Elaine. No 20
ReplyDeleteIt's the best place to be when it's storming. xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn. Here in North wales we had torrential rain late lunchtime, but no Thunder and lightening. But there again, I was being treated to lunch out, so may have been too interested in the yummy food to have noticed...
ReplyDeleteGreat finds on your desk today.
Take care. God bless.

Beatrix Potter wrote a book about gardening life? What! I have to find it!!! You did quite well though, weathering the storm in your craft room. Happy Wednesday! Sandy Leigh #44
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn. We heard about the weather over at yours it's just so different to Lincoln. Hope it's better for you today. Have a great woyww, Angela x 19

I think we must be very lucky here in Nottingham. I keep hearing talk of rain, storms, woolly tights and so on. It's full on beautiful summer here. Dress, flip flops, sunnies, done! Talking of dresses, you look beautiful in yours. You fit in with all the other flowers. Xxx
ReplyDeleteAww thank you Tania. We don't know what to wear here. Hopefully not wellies and brollies this weekend
DeleteXxx
We have been very lucky in Belgium lately, as we're having wonderful Indian summer days. Snuggling up with a good book is the best remedy when the weather is stormy. I'm loving your dress! Please think of me when you're done with it ;-) xxx
ReplyDeleteWe need to do a clothes swap Anne haha xxx
DeleteNow that picture of you is lovely, that self portrait on the card is fab, love the way you're dealing with the weather...it's our turn later tonight. I fully expect to sleep through it!
ReplyDeleteThank you Julia, a friend made me the brooch for my birthday last year. She's very clever x
DeleteYou did have a bad one didn't you? We saw the pics on the telly, but it was out turn last night. Stations flooded out and all sorts. So you definitely did the best thing, hiding away on your craft room. Lovely pic of you btw, you're very photogenic E :-D
ReplyDeleteHugs, LLJ 14 xxx
