What's on my workdesk today .......

I've got a few things to show you this week starting with this bracelet I am making after attending a workshop in Todmorden, Yorkshire at
Next up are the two Doodly Bird Compacts for a customer.
Followed by this vintage knitting pattern I picked up at Victoria Baths, Manchester on Sunday at the Vintage Home Show
These are not on my desk but they will soon be on my bed when Helen of www.helencrochet1.wordpress.com  has finished my crocheted blanket.
Last but by no means least, something very special.
This lovely Prayer Flag from my Scottish friend Mo.  It is a flag of peace that she made as part of a swap we are doing.  Included in the parcel you can see lots of goodies to inspire some collage work in my new sketchbook.
Which leads me finally on to say the new SKETCHBOOK FRIENDS blog I started last week is building up its own little community of creative people.  Some have created books/journals before and some are pure beginners.  Have a look, you might like it.

Back over to Julia now to see whats happening on some more desks.

  5. Some lovely things on your desk this week Lynne but my favourite has to be the vintage pattern, reminds me of my mother who was never without knitting needles in her hands. I still have some of hers (black and white so you can tell how old they are)and one is for a bed-jacket!!

Thanks for calling in earlier, just back from walking Sorrel and in the middle of soup making - pea and ham.
    Happy WOYWW

  6. I'm sat reading my WOYWW blogs on my sick bed this week but have my mask on so you don't catch anything. I'm enjoying reading what everyone is up to this week [it's better than reading magazines :-) ]. I'm leaving a copied comment so you know I've called by because my hands are too weak and shaky to keep typing out my comments this week.
    Big hugs,

  12. I want your desk! Its filled with all kinds of loveliness... where to begin? Gorgeous crochet, they will make an amazing blanket; the doodley birds are fab; bracelet looks fiddly but will be very pretty when it's finished, so many beads! That prayer flag is rather amazing too, I might have to give that a go at some point, what a lovely idea. I'm going to check out the sketchbook blog too x Chloe 106

Each one was more fetching than the one before. No, I'm lying. Each one was JUST as fetching as the one before!! I'm happy to hear you are getting positive feedback to your new blog and hope you have a wonderful week!! Darnell #63

  15. You have lots for us to see this week Lynn and I love it all.
I’ve dabbled in a little bit of beading myself in the past but have never seen a bracelet like that one, done on a knitting loom, what a fab idea.
Really loving the crochet too. I bet you can’t wait to get the finished article on your bed.
    Happy Crafting!
