I bet you are thinking that can't be Lynn's desk its never that untidy.
Unusual for me I know, but I didnt put my stuff away once i had sorted what I wanted.
I was working on a PURPLE THEME for TAG TUESDAY CHALLENGE
My craft drawers are arranged mainly in colours, so I dragged out the
purple one and throw it all out on my desk. I got that involved in making the tag that i didnt put anything away until I had finished it even though it was difficult for me to work amongst all the mess.

I love the colours, and of course the doodly bird! Thanks for the info on ATC's - I used to make them quite a few years ago and it all sort of petered out - I don't actually remember deciding to stop! I might just take it up again - I really liked the Linen Shelf blog you recommended (thanks for that) - I might meet up with you over there next month, if I get my act together!

I don't understand how, with a drawer full of yummy like that, you can just pick out its and then put the rest away...how do you know in advance that what you've got is what you need? Skill!

ReplyDeleteI love all your purple bitties and your purplified desk. I too, store by colour ;) I especially love your Tag, and it is due to that & your ATC's and your encouragement that I decided to take the plunge and 'have a go'. Here is what I ended up with
Now I didn't punch a hole for the ribbon, as in a traditional tag, because I kind of, (verrry loosely), endeavoured to combine the two, I sewed it on and I added my name & date onto the back. Hey lady! There's a funky bird on your desk! Hee hee I just love your funky bird tag. All the purples are lovely. I like your craft room is stored by colors. I finally did that with my embellishments after I realized that is how I looked for them. I don't think, "This needs a button." I think, "This needs something purple." BTW, you have great things in your purple stash. So much fun!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you combine quite chunky elements like the crocheted (knitted?) flower, with paper and card. I am never very happy with the result when I try, but your tag is great, and so is the colour scheme. I especially like the little heart shaped button in the centre of your flower. A nice touch.
