When the curtain came down....

Happy Easter to everyone, I hope you will all being having a few choccies
Look what happened when I forgot to give these little beauties to my workshop ladies
Which is no good for the figure now that I've got my new frock to fit into that friend Val made from the old curtain that had been wrapped round the seat cushion in our boot room for about three years.
She also made this crimplene beauty into a knee length dress from a maxi, shortened the fancy bit on the front and then with the bits that were left made me this bag.  I am going to add a blingy button or brooch to the bottom of the handle.  How do you like it Vix ?
I got the dress off my bestie vintage trader friend Vix of
earlier this month at
Watch out for the next instalment of "When the curtain came down"
Here's a sneak preview

Happy Easter Friday

Easter Eggs and a tin of pins

The last of my Easter Craft Workshops is over and this is
what the wonderful ladies on Saturday made.
Tamsin made hers for her daughter Coco-lily.
Jane chose traditional Easter yellow and green as did Margaret.
Nicola added a frill to hers.
Margaret number 2 went for beautifully mixed colours.
Bev couldn't resist sticking with what she loves - Pink.
Finally they made some cute but simple cards to round off the day.

Postman John was busy over Easter ...

My friend Mo sent me this handmade Easter card along with a nice piece of vintage linen for me to use in my course work. Also a card from one of our favourite artists Carolyn Saxby of St. Ives.

Olivia and Jacob made these two lovely cards

Then another envelope appeared from Mo in the form of a card and a piece of art she had been working on with wax crayons.

Ive hung it on my art line in my studio. Its the one with the peg on it, sitting beautifully between the art cards from the 10+ Textile Group

Mo's wax art and 10+ Plus Textile Group card

John didn't bring these, nor did he get to eat one.
They are from my very talented neighbour Amy.
yes I did take a bite out of one of them.

CHOCOLATE AND CARDS

Well its that time of year again, when colours are glorious and chocolate is sweet.
Yes its Easter.
After an Easter poem, some silly and some serious facts about Easter, along with some even sillier jokes the Sunnybank Craft Club produced these vibrant cards made by collaging cut up shapes of eggs and flowers.
And look at these fun bars of chocolate, made by wrapping Easter theme paper around the outside of the bar then cutting out and colouring the Easter bunny and adding a little pink pom pom for his tail.
Well done everyone, they look great and thanks to Susan for leading the class and Melvyn for assisting.

Lynn's lousy jokes
Why was the rabbit sad ?
He had a bad 'hare' day
(groan)

HAPPY EASTER TO EVERYONE
Craft Club will be back on Monday 16th April 10am - 12noon
