What’s on your workdesk Wednesday - A silly grin.

It’s that day of the week again when a gang of us get together and see what we’ve been creating, or not as in my case most weeks.  But not this week folks.

My daft vibes must have set in after my zoom Pilates class this morning.  That and the fact I’ve just worked out how to do selfie’s on my new iPad Air.  Did I mention I’ve got a new iPad.  Heehee.

That’s not a frock I’ve got on, it’s a pinny a friend gave me for Christmas.  I’m wearing it so that wandering welder husband thinks I’ve been doing housework.

I haven’t really, I just put a load of pans on top of the cooker so he will think I’ve been cooking up a storm for his tea, when in fact I’ve been messing around most of the afternoon in my craft room so that our leader will know I’ve made an effort.

So here it is folks.  I’m joining in with my friend Anne’s tag challenge

The theme this week was SCRAPS

I did mine on the sewing machine, attaching little scraps of fabric directly onto the tag.

And there you have it.  Now I better get them pots and pans rattling.
Take care everyone. See you next week.

  3. Haha! You did make me giggle with your pinny and empty saucepans! Much more fun to play all day. I love your scrap work, what a clever idea! xxx
PS Your blog didn't do that weird thing with the comments today.

  4. Scraps. My scraps never look that good in a box. And oh my, don’t you keep the little bits! But then, you make em into lovely things, so you’re allowed! Laughing at the thought that wearing a pinny would convince the wandering welder, I might have to follow your lead, although I fear that Bart wouldn’t notice one way or the other!! ...and anyway, from your photos I’m thinking there’s no housework to do missus!

  6. Morning Lynn. Love the disguise with the pinny - it's rather a gorgeous one. Now I am on my own I have no need for such subterfuge - so my poor pinny stays in the drawer:-( Great idea with the tags. Well done. Not just selfies - but timed selfies!!! Your hand wasn't reaching out and disappearing off the edge of the picture...
Take care dear girl. God bless.

  8. Great photographs Lynn, I did think it was a dress at first, but in the bigger picture it is clearly a pinny. Your kitchen is lovely, did your subterfuge work? I haven’t tried sewing with paper since my sewing machine was repaired. Do like your scraps tag though. I don’t know why blogger ate my photographs earlier, but I put them back - I wouldn’t want you to miss my owl :). Have a great week Angela #6

  10. I quite often resort to housework subterfuge but, after 40 years together, think my hubby probably knows what I’m up too, lol ;-) That is a gorgeous pinny btw, you really rock the look! I love your fabric tags too, using up the scraps that way is such a good idea!

  11. I've chuckled at your post today....I can just imagine the tricks you get up to and we certainly do benefit from a giggle these days. Jo suggested I wrote stories about Luna Lapin and her friends but I have a feeling you would do a much better job than me....I loved your comment on my blog today :-)

  15. Loving your tags they are beautiful small works of art. I used to make tag books with a friend and we would swap them, miss her lots. The apron con is good but I'm sure he's not taken in by it though he is a man and they are easily tricked. Take care and have a lovely creative woyww, Angela x14x

  22. You crack me up! Sooo if I put an apron on and move some pots around, I can get away with not cleaning and cooking?! Love it! I could have used this advice before I made a huge mess making pumpkin chocolate chip muffins from scratch. Sounds easy till I mention that I dropped the bowl while scrapping one into the other and spilling gooo everywhere ~ It just doesn't come natural for some! agree?! Your tag turned out adorable ~ and so is the snippet strip next to it ~ Enjoy your week! Love, Karen #33

  30. How lovely is that? I am pagemarking this so that when, when, I find my sewing machine (which I know is already set up on the table) I can use up some of my scraps. Just love that idea.
