Lockdown Diary - Do you know who I am, because I’ve forgot

I remember the days when we were considered a cool couple.

thank

Now well into weeks of lockdown we look more like this.

I’ve collected photographs together to remind my hairdresser friend what I used to look like.   I might have to go to an ironing service to get rid of my new wrinkles though haha.

This is a good day,  most days I look like a bottle brush.
I’m not one that goes to beauty parlours but I’ve never been able to do my hair and as someone who doesn’t smoke or drink I don’t begrudge myself my weekly hairdo.

What little luxury or treat are you missing during lockdown.

  1. well my fringe is REALLY getting on my nerves! I'm too scared to do it myself and Olly isn't coming anywhere near me with scissors! I miss going out for a meal though....not big expensive ones, those spare of the moment pub lunches or popping into a cafe on a walk. xxx

    1. That’s what we miss too Lyn. Just nipping down to the Oxford for lunch or an early tea.
Perhaps we should retrain as hairdressers haha xxx

  2. My friend and I usually treat ourselves to a spa pamper day now and again - a sauna, swimming and a back and neck massage. Last November I decided to stop dyeing my hair and embrace the grey, it's almost there with just a few centimetres of the brown dye left, so hopefully by the time lockdown is over it will all be cut out. btw I like your hair.

  3. I just miss being able to nip out for a quite browse at Think Twice during lunch break. It has recently re-opened but going there sounds as scary and complicated as going on a North Pole expedition. My hair is starting to look like a bottle brush, even after I've just washed it. There's no taming it anymore. But there's a light at the end of the tunnel, as I'll be able to go to the hairdresser on the 3rd of June! xxx

    1. Sounds like we have the same sort of hair Ann.
It feels odd to see all the charity shops shut when we visit Todmorden. I’m not sure I’ll be ready to rush back to them though anytime soon xxx

    1. I’m getting used to them now and it doesn’t matter about the grey with this style. But oh those luscious coiffed locks haha
