These four walls - Days 21 & 22

Friday was a quietish day after the emotional highs and lows of Auntie Gladys send off.

I pottered about in the garden making an Easter display near the front gate for passers by to come and say hello to.

We live on a country lane so I thought I might give folk a little smile with my bit of nonsense.  There’s a book and magazine box and some craft and games for anyone to pick up as they go by.

What’s been so lovely is people have left us daffodils, sticks of rhubarb, tulips and chocolates and today Saturday I found this card and sweet rhyme on top of the books.

Aren’t people kind.  We have so much to be grateful for in these sad times.  Now to make my rhubarb crumble and purée and take a stick down to Mum.

These little fellas won’t last in this house heehee.
We’ve a 1967 Tommy Steele film to watch tonight and vegetable & butter bean soup for tea.
No more cheap red plonk for the wandering welder,  it’s giving him a headache.

If you want a good read have a look at our friends blog.  Jon and Vix are really utilising their time during lockdown.
