A world within these four walls

It’s taken me awhile but I think I may be starting to adjust to this whole new way of living.

No matter the size of your house, within those four walls there is a world for you to visit.......
So take a look around it with new eyes.

Set up a Tearoom/Coffee shop

Move into a different bedroom and pretend you’re having a night away.

Create a project and make it feel as if you’re going on a workshop.  Put everything you need in a bag, including your sandwich and take it to your chosen spot to work.

Plan a cinema visit - don’t forget your popcorn and rattling sweetie bag. After all you won’t be disturbing anybody.

Library - Revamp your bookshelves.
I’ve always dreamt of being a librarian.

A Cookery School -  get your cookery books out or follow a You Tube cookery lesson

Are you getting the idea ?

Within my four walls I’ll be visiting a
Pilates studio/gym
A pub/restaurant
A beauty parlour/ a rubbish hairdressers
A photography studio
A research centre
A picnic site
An art gallery
A writing room
Clothes shop/vintage emporium/charity shop

I’m exploring every nook and crevice of the house
and garden as if I’ve not visited before.

So how will you plan your day.  Where will you visit while you stay home.  Let me know and stay safe everyone.

Lynn

  3. I always enjoy your posts but this one is different and such fun yet full of great advice. I just love the ideas you have come up with and think you ought to post them everywhere - they are such brilliant ideas.
Love the idea of the change of bedroom but I won't be doing it as three weeks in that bed was what set my back off - still you never know, a night in it might undo it all?
    Absolutely brilliant post!
    Stay safe and well

  6. What great ideas. Love the teashop ones but where do I get currant teacakes from in Spain and the cakes I would have to make them. Like the idea of a craft workshop though might try that. Ani #12

  7. What fabulous ideas for 'visiting' in the home Lynn. I like the idea of the cinema but would need new bookcases to finish organising our books as many of them are still in boxes. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #5

  9. Morning Lynn. What a beautiful positive post. Thank you. I love the idea of you in your new tearoom, and as for trying out new recipe ideas... great fun. Well done. How easy it would be to turn all this strangeness into a negative - but you have focused our thoughts on the positive. Well done. Enjoy wherever you decide to go today!
Take care of yourselves. Stay safe. God bless you.

  10. I love your imagination, and your beautiful house, Lynn. But while some of these tips are useful, we only have one bedroom ;-) You know what, I am so pleased not to have a minimalist home and lots of clutter. At least we won't run out of things to look at! Sending big virtual hugs to you and Philip xxxx

  11. Your final photo took me back in time - I bought those two books at the start of my teaching career - many, many years ago. I love your positive, creative post today. We all need to rethink how we do things so that it is uplifting and not just the "ordinary". Happy Easter. xx Jo

  16. How lovely Lynn you really are embracing what has always been under our noses but life previously was just too foggy for us to see. I consider myself to be very lucky as I've never been one to say I was bored being an only child helped with that i'm sure. Your beautiful way with life Lynn is a very valuable guide.
Wishing you well this coming Easter & thank you for sharing Woy(Fabulous)WW.. Tracey #24 xx

  17. Hello Lynn! I love your advice. I too have been dusting off old projects/places in my house to do things. This Friday, my husband and I are having a date night. We will get dressed up and go take a ride in the car so we feel like we are going somewhere new and then return to dinner and a movie in our bedroom. My boys will entertain themselves with online gaming etc. so we can have some quality alone time. Have a blessed day!
    Stay well.

  18. I absolutely love this Lynn. Our house is small, but there are definitely things we can do like this to make it fun. We have done a cinema night complete with homemade popcorn. I have been cooking and learning to paint. I hope you are staying well and safe. Happy WOYWW. With love and God bless, Caro xxx (#20)

  19. Hi Lynn, I'll be sharing your ideas with my daughters, to keep their children entertained. They would definitely love the cinema and the craft workshop ideas. Great advice for me too - I'll pack a craft bag and have a workshop in the summerhouse this weekend. Have a lovely week and stay safe, Heather xx #27

  21. Great ideas Lynn. Today I've been sitting by the pond something I don't do very often, watching the Koi. Perhaps I could imagine it being a Japanese garden of contemplation so maybe there are places in the garden too. Once I get my cabin sorted I'll be off on lots of workshops too. Wishing you a happy woyww and lots of crafty thoughts to keep you busy, Angela x15x

  24. What a gorgeous post Lynn. My dearest is actually going to take time off this weekend, so I shall take your lead with a picnic and cinema trip for sure. I fear the in between may be horribly practical stuff that we’ve been intending, but it will be lovely to have treats to look forward to. Again, beautiful photos too, how beautiful your home is.

  25. Oh Lynn, what an utterly fabulous post! I thoroughly enjoyed reading it, and so appreciated how you have turned every room, and every activity, into something special and different. I'm afraid my life continues much the same as always since the lockdown because I'm mostly housebound anyway, so not much change here! However, I am blessed in so many ways - in absolutely loving being at home - never happier than being a home-bird, and having my hubby around all the time instead of him gadding about here there and everywhere and me not knowing where he is most of the time! We are enjoying our garden and the kitties, and good food cooked at home and my hubby is getting a lot of satisfaction from fixing things in the garden. He is also cleaning the house for me in the absence of my cleaning lady!

Happy belated WOYWW and keep safe and well,
    Shoshi #17
