Let me tell you a story

Come in draw up a chair, I’ve a tale to tell you.

So I went to see Auntie Gladys this week, it’s her 88th birthday.  She loves hyacinth and dark chocolate.
Do you want to go out for lunch I asked.
No she replied I’ve got some cottage pie left over we can have that. You can have it with the shortbread and nuts left over from Christmas.

She said do you think I look 88.  No I replied,  you look a lot younger and fabulous.

I then went on to say that I would be 65 this year and will have to wait another year for my pension.

I couldn’t have made up her reply

“Cows have a lot of flatulence you know with all the grass they eat”

THE END

  1. Hi Lynn, that's a lovely story and no she doesn't look her age. The Hyacinth looks lovely but I find the scent a little bit strong so have to put them somewhere with plenty of air around them. I must say though that that is one of the best I've seen and love the pot too, no plastic there by the look of it. Have a great weekend, Angela xxx

  6. Your aunt Gladys is a 'case'! She certainly doesn't look her age.
The hyacinths are lovely. Auntie will enjoy those and I suppose you gave her some chocolate too.My grandmother lived on chocolate when she was 88. At that age you are allowed....
    Have a lovely weekend,
    Hugs,
    Lisca
