What’s on your Work Desk

I’ve got nothing to show you on my desk this week other than a book bag I made for my rare copy of Ponckle.
The reason I’ve nothing to show is because we took my 86 year old Mum to Grange Over Sands for a few days.  I’ve no idea what she was upto here but the wandering welder doesn’t look overly impressed.

I did however buy a massive notebook for my massive amount of ramblings.  Something I’m prone to do most days in one notebook or another.  This one I intend to use for projects.  I’ve got a long list of them.  It should stop me procrastinating and faffing.  Or I may just spend my time thinking of more projects to list haha.

Now I did pick up this little mystery item. I’m going to leave you guessing and I’ll tell you next week what it is if you don’t already know, and what I’m going to do with it

Have a good week desk hoppers

  2. I'm taking a quick break from cutting squares for my quilt and enjoying a coffee while I catch up on a few of my favourite blogs.

  4. Ooh, I like a good challenge! I downloaded your photo to see if you have named it - how clever is that LOL - but you haven't, so no clue there. Hmm, is it something they used for rinsing clothes in the river in old days? Or to spin the wet clothes to get rid of the excess water? My guess is, it's something to do with laundry, but I might be way off mark. Your mum looks happy - and a little naughty LOL! Enjoy your week! zsuzsa #16

  5. I'm guessing along with Zsuzsa that the item is some sort of 'textile-tool' I love the photo of your mum and that's quite an impressing list in the notebook! Happy woyww and a big hug from Holland, Marit #15

  8. Hmmm, you obviously have to feed something through the gap - anything to do with veg at all? Or flowers? It's a good object whatever, well done for finding it. I love the pic of your mum, she looks a great character!

  10. That's such a lovely photo of your Mum and Philip!
I've no idea what that gadget could be but I don't think I could have resisted it either.
I'm going to have to ask my artist friend Liz (@izzybirdbags) about Ponckle, she spends at least a fortnight a year in St Ives painting! xxx

  14. Ah what a fab pic of your Mum and her son in law. Probably she’d said something that she found hilarious, and only she did. I’m very familiar with that situation! The tool? No idea. Looks like a bristle-less brush to me.do something that’s renders it not a tool it will be so much the better. As for your beautiful notebook and list."well there’s nothing like making a list to look at whilst wondering what to do......

  16. Hi Lynn, no idea on the tool, yet I feel I've seen one before. Great notebook, but I'm hopeless with lists! lol. Really late this week, spent most of yesterday afternoon in A&E, as the breathlessness wasn't easing off. They gave me IV Antibiotics & steroids, and some nebulisers, which has helped, but it's still not what it should be. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4X
