Too beautiful for words

STRADDLE READING CHAIR
STRADDLE READING CHAIR

Pull up a chair and join me in a cuppa while we have a look round the beautiful Mansion at Tatton Park, Knutsford, Cheshire, owned by the Egerton family and now a
National Trust property.

Did you spot the steps for climbing upto bed

The Lemon Bedroom, furnished by Gillows in 1812.
I wouldn’t mind a night in any of these beautiful rooms

The second of three kitchens

The Scullery

The Still Room used for preparing delicate dishes for banquets and afternoon teas, as well as  distilling perfumes, medicines, cordial waters.

The Linen Cupboard and Housekeepers parlour.

Don’t forget to turn the lights off before you leave

  3. **Sigh** what a gorgeous place! I would love to mooch about there, I really love historic places, especially homes. Logan, sadly, does not. My favourites are always the kitchens. I think I was a maid in a former life, haha xxx

  4. How wonderful that all looks. I had no idea where Tatton Park was, but now I see it's at Knutsford - one of the service stations we pass or visit on your frequent trips down the M6. It's definitely on my list now. Thank you for sharing your trip. It must be lovely to actually climb up into bed and draw the curtains round you - bliss. Xx

  9. Wow this place is gorgeous! I especially love the steps leading up to the bed, I probably wouldn't have noticed had you not pointed it out haha. Im currently waiting at an airport and the internet is so bad so sadly I can't see all the images - also it's saying I've already published a comment which I haven't. not ideal. anyway, thank you for the tour!
