I've cleared the decks for a new project

I was going to show you that I haven't given up on the knitting yet

Then yesterday Postman Dave brought me a parcel

So after hanging the washing out

Tidying round the kitchen

Clearing my desk

I finally managed to open it

Inside it is a lovely creative project in a box
called This Hour of Mine by The Linen Garden

The idea is to give yourself some time to be creative.
You are given some guidelines but basically can create whatever
you like with its contents

You'll have to wait till next week to see any results
as I will be faffing about with all the treasures for a while haha.

In the meantime lets have a look at what everyone else is upto
over at Julia's place

  1. Well looks like you have everything tidy and are ready to enjoy that kit. Will be fun to see the finished project. I like the colors. And your outdoors looks, I'm so ready for spring. Have a fun week #4

  2. Oh I saw the "this hour of mine" on a Facebook post this week and wondered what it was exactly. Thanks for sharing, looks like fun BJ#9

  3. I love the colour shades you received in your package - looking forward to see what you create with it all :)
That dresser in your kitchen is beautiful too - so beautifully filled :)
    Have a wonderful Wednesday :)

  4. Can imagine me just drooling over the contents of that box for ages. I don't sew but was tempted by some fat quarters in The Works of all places.
Thanks for the journey through your day, and your home - really enjoyed how you set this post out - clever girl!
Hugs & Thanks for visiting me

  5. Morning Lynn. Now THAT is one exciting parcel - what a lot of fun to open and see the contents. Enjoy - especially in your lovely neat and tidy home!!
    Take care. God bless.#

  6. What a lovely idea that parcel is. I aim to have at least an hour of being creative every day (don't always make it though). Plus I am working hard to lessen my huge box of fabric scraps....every time I use some it seems to fill again lol.
It's a big day here today for our little fur baby....she's just gone for her first hair cut....and I'm missing her already. I plan to do a before and after post on Friday so keep a look out.

  7. Hehe! You're a lot more patient than me. If I'd have received a parcel like that I'd have thought "sod the housework!" and got stuck in!
What a fab idea. I can't wait to see what you come up with.
Love, love, love the outfit! xxx

    1. For someone who rips all her birthday/Christmas presents open before the day I was extremely restrained. Xxx

  8. That's a great fun idea! You have far more discipline than I as I would have rushed to open it forgetting about the wash and tidying up! Diane #15

  9. What a beautiful spot you live in.... it looks so serene. Can't wait to the results of your faffing around. It will be brilliant :)

  13. how lovely - I'm waiting for Ma Factrice Sophie to arrive with my copper tape so I can get on with some soldering... but now I want a carton of fabric having seen yours (box envy) It looks likes the knitting is getting there despite the mundane and wonderful interruptions, see you next week, Dxxx 13

  14. I love your post - seeing what you've been up to before opening that package. You must have a lot of willpower. Looks like you received some wonderful goodies. Hope you show us what you make.

  15. I love your little blog "story"! So cute! Isn't it amazing how we put off what we really want to do until we get all the "chores" done first? Like dessert after dinner! LOL! I will look forward to see what you did with your lovely box of inspiration! Thanks for sharing! Lindart #39

  16. Oh I love your Not Dead Yet post, your style is just wonderful, I would love to be ale to put clothes together like that! Isn't it wonderful to be able to put washing on the line again.....and oooh....take your time, the box of treasures is definitely worth a few days of hours!

  17. Happy WOYWW. I 'nearly' got our washing line out of the garage earlier this week, but definitely back to using the tumble dryer and heated airer again. We have a few days of rain/gales forecast. You really kept us on the edges of our seats waiting to see what was in the parcel. Gorgeous contents and I look forward to seeing what you do with it. The view from your craft table is amazing. Ali x #27

  18. No can't wait, want to see what you do with all those goodies. Have fun and a happy crafty woyww,

  21. I would not have been able to do anything until that box was opened - aren't you strong willed! It looks like it's going to be a lot of fun using all those goodies, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with them. Thank you for popping over to my desk, I've really missed taking part for the last few weeks but am back to full power now!!

  22. Now if that had been me I would have opened it before the washing and tidying up. You must be very disciplined. Enjoy your 'This Hour of mine' but I think it will be a lot longer than an hour. Anickoana #6

  23. Lovely photos and I'm looking forward to seeing what you make with your creative box. Dorlene #36
