What's on my desk this week

Since last week I've been like a whirling dervish.
I finished (for now) the filofax/books I was making and I started on making one book from another.
I've also done a bit of this
and made this.
Held a workshop making these and have another today and one on Saturday.
As well as all that I was the roving reporter at Stockport Vintage Village on Sunday.
If you want to read my piece on the fantastic things I found there, here's the link
to my blog page
Hope you all have a great week at your desks and give Julia plenty to smile about.

  3. We quite often get old type writers in the charity shop I work in & they still work fine . People always seem to buy them as soon as they are put out .

  5. I love your vintage typewriter, the colour is gorgeous. I don't know how my hands would cope typing on a typewriter, but I'd give it a bash for sure. There's nothing quite like the sound of the keys clattering on a type writer. Your makes this week are also beautiful. Thanks for sharing with us. Lyns #17 xx

    1. I wanted to make a book from another book Patsy after being inspired by London based textile/mixed media artist Jessie Chorley.
I've no clear plans yet, it's evolving as I go along

  7. Wow, your creative vibes have been on overtime this week - Pretty please, may I borrow some?! Love those floral heart wreaths, they're really lovely and I can imagine the workshop gals really enjoying making those. I know I would! But the star of your desk is that glorious typewriter...goodness, that takes me back!

  14. I love the idea of being a roving reporter: permission to talk with everyone! Bet you had a lovely time. I rarely use it but still have my typewriter, but its not as pretty as the one pictured. I love that you're making a book from a book....sounds nutty but makes total sense to me! I love the wreaths...bet you could fill a workshop on tem once a month, given all the occasions we now have!

  16. Good Morning. I love the typewriter and wish i had one. Seemly I just find them a tad easier then computer programs, but needless to say my big sister Nikki is only a text away and helps me out with basic computer questions. Lol Wow you have had a busy week, love the wreaths and the hand and the little book you have made. Have a fantastic Wednesday.Hugs ~ Anne L #36

  17. Sounds like you've had a really busy week! Lovely projects.

I love the typewriter. I have to admit I am glad those are rarely used anymore. I had such a hard time typing on one of them. I never had the strength in my little fingers to strike the key. I think I almost failed the typing class because of it lol.

    Have a great week

  20. Awe how sweet is your hand stitched piece it would make an adorable necklace too. I remember using a type writer like yours as a kid we have an antique one that just sits and collects dust doesn't work but looks pretty on display hugs Nikki 41
