There has been a bit of crafting going on this week
in the form of papier mache dolls.

Our monthly craft group met and was led by friend Gail Barnes in making dolls inspired by mixed media folk artist Julie Arkell
Here's the one that Gail made
If you google Julie Arkell you can see images of her work
Sorry I'm a bit rushed this week.
Time for a look around some more desks
These dolls make me so happy. Mabel looks amazing, and I love her name. What a fun group. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #43
ReplyDeleteI haven't made a papier mache doll since I was at junior school - they look like fun but I am a sock dolly girl myself! x Jo
ReplyDeleteWhat fun. It's been years since I've done any papier mache. Love your results. Thanks for popping by at mine earlier.

Hi Lynn, I picked a blog at random, from the list on Julia's blog - so here I am, and very glad to be visiting too!
ReplyDeleteI love your papier mache lady - and her dog is so cool. I haven't made a papier mache doll since I was a little girl - those look fabulous and now I want to try it as well! I love Gail's room-set and your little wooden block for the dog to sit on. Props always enhance a project like this.
Have a happy week!
