Upcycling Mrs Dale's Diary.........

I recently picked up this lovely little book for £2.
In 1961 when it was published it was 7s 6d (about 37p now)
The hardcover is lovely and in perfect condition
and the inscription inside is "From Hattie to Aunty Pollei"
Its got four sections each named after a season and its full of little drawings, poems and stories.
I've got this urge to add to it, put my own mark on it by adding little doodles and collages.
Its far to pretty to sit on the shelf and be ignored.

  1. What a lovely book and it seems to still be in good condition. That poem is lovely and I love your wee Snowdrop. I think the book would be enhanced by your fabulous sketches Lynn. Go for it.

I have a Broons diary from 2012 that I never used (too big) but I'm not sure what to do with it yet. Maybe next year ;), lol xx

  4. Oh Lynn, I just bought a bunch of books at a "friends of the library sale" and this is just the inspiration I need for some upcycling. Thanks for sharing!

    1. Hi Sandy I'm glad I've been able to inspire you. I've done some more pages and will be posting about them this week. Don't forget to show us what you do with your books x
