On my desk today are the samples I am making for a workshop I am having on the 1st March.
Crafting For Beginners is something I started last year after a group of ladies asked me if I would help them make some cards and felt Christmas hearts.
They enjoyed themselves so much they have asked me to put a programme of workshops together for this year
So here is what we will be doing. They are wired fabric hearts using strips of fabric, buttons and beads.
I pestered my welding engineer husband for the wire and as usual he has come up trumps.
It is handy having a welder around haha !

These are sooooo effective, Lynn - and so simple to make! Hope you enjoy the workshop :)

Those are so pretty Lynn & a good way of using up scraps of fabric. Happy woyww Jill #39
ReplyDeleteWell, don't those hearts look pretty!? I love the teal and orange combo in the last shot. I bet all those ladies will have a ball at the workshop. And husbands come in handy sometimes, lol!

Isn't it lovely how we can get such different effects just by changing the colours? Fab choices Lynn.

Gorgeous projects and lovely to see what a change of colour produces.

Wow, what a fabulous idea - I am now wanting to make one - the fabrics are fabulous. I saw some Downton Abbey inspired fabrics on the Rainbow silks website and I have been resisting buying them for quite a while, but now I know that I need them to make one of these!!!
ReplyDeleteHow easily we are tempted Diana. I will have to have a look myself now damn !
DeleteAbsolutely brilliant. You have inspired me to make one for my new craft room wall!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, Lynn. Something for beginning crafters to really get their teeth into, and take home an item they have made themselves. Great stuff. Sorry to be so late in getting round - grandies visiting...
