These were made with different layered papers and lace.
Then I used my ever faithful black fineliner to make the stitch marks
I broke this sheet down into small paper samples showing what stitches I could use.
You can see more samples of my work if you go back through last weeks blog.
Off to London on Thursday for a few days so there wont be much course work done. Hope I dont fall behind.
Dont forget to have a look around some more desks here at WOYWW
You certainly are doing better than OK. Your sample pieces and design sheets are fabulous. Love sharing the course with you!

I agree with Jo - and also, don't build up the worry about actual hand stitching...it's much harder if you believe you can't, and we all know you can! Hope you have some fun in London!
ReplyDeleteThey look fabulous!! Hope you continue to enjoy the course. Helen 9

Lynn, I just love looking at your design concepts!! Never tire of it--so please keep sharing. It is such a wonderful mixed media haven! I use the blanket stitch for stitching around the felt stuffed animals I make--my favorite stitch for that! This makes me think how fun it would be to do a couple of design sheets for my art journal. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #104
ReplyDeleteOh wow those look stunning! Happy Wednesday. :o)

PS i'm loving the book - esp. the recipe ideas - thnk you so much xx
Fabulous ideas!! I am busy with my latest Lillybo quilt and some of my fabric has sort of doodly looking birds on it so I think I shall make a few little doodly birds collaged onto some of the patches - fun!! x Jo
ReplyDeleteReally nice! Like the colors!
ReplyDeleteWow, your samples and design sheets look amazing. Thanks for sharing. Happy belated WOYWW. Caro #60
ReplyDeleteYour work is just lovely. You can do anything you put your mind to. I think the stitching will be the easy part - what you've done already looks way more complicated than stitching. April #101
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, absolutely stunning.
