Vintage and Art in Marazion, Cornwall

I could have stayed in this delightful shop for the rest of the week.
FINE AND DANDY
is owned by Shevie Moyle and Nell Pascoe

Look at the little pot dolly I picked up for £4

Shevie was telling me that they are to be featured in the next edition of Mollie Makes Magazine.
I am going to pinch her display idea for cards.  These very pretty blue shelves were made by Shevie's hubby.
I felt like I was in a lovely playroom and didnt want to leave.

As you can imagine the family had left me at this point. Once they saw that I had started chatting they knew that was the end of me for at least an hour.  We met up again in the AVALON ART GALLERY further down the road and this time my sister was enraptured too.

The gallery had something for everyone, it was one of the best ones we had been in all week.  They have a great stock of  every form of art and crafts ...... textiles, collage, water colour, ceramics, jewellery.  You name it they've got it.  Jill bought this little piece by CATHERINE HOSKIN.  Unfortunately I can't find a website for her but I have found more of her work here www.cryofthegulls.co.uk.  Or  if you are interested in her work you could always contact the AVALON ART GALLERY at sallyscott@avalongallery.co.uk

Remember the pic of the church kneelers ? Well that was in Marazion
If you visit Cornwall be sure to visit this lovely little town the people are really friendly and there is also St. Michael's Mount for the historical bit. www.stmichaelsmount.co.uk

  2. Sigh, we love Cornwall in this family too. Luckily, my husband understands me only too well and takes the boys off crabbing or rockpooling and leaves me to it!
