SOMETHING TO KICK START THE WEEK ......

MOSAIC MONDAY

I could'nt resist photographing this beautiful cherry blossom outside
 St. Edmunds Church in Rochdale.
I've added snapshots of two canvasses we bought in Porec, Croatia in 2006.

On the 13th August, which happened to coincide with my birthday
all the artists came out of their studios and displayed their work on the streets and walls of the buildings.  It was a fantastic sight and Philip bought me these lovely pieces which are worked in gesso, oil and embellished with lace.
Another piece of art we bought while at Lake Garda, Italy
is this cello worked on hardwood again using gesso and oils
Thats a little peek at some of the wonderful artwork in our home.

  3. Hi Lynn,

I love the collage -- I definitely need to figure out how to do a banner for my etsy shop......

The art work is amazing - and how cool - to come across it all being exhibited outside the shops in the glory of the sun. Hoping all is well with you.
    Hugs,
    Kay

  4. This is really nice and the paintings you have are amazing. I saw some street art once, where the guy made illusion art on the street itself. One looked as if there was a huge hole in the path! Haha. Great talent. It is such a blessing to be able to draw/paint, create art.
The blossom is an amazing colour.

  5. Lovely photo mosaic - the blossom trees really are fabulous at the moment aren't they. What fantastic art work - I love the cello, I like the soft tranquil colours of it, I could happily live with that on my wall. Thanks for the peek!
