YES IT CAN BE DONE.....WHATS ON YOUR WORKDESK

Displayed with my gorgeous Angie Lewin book - Plants and Places
After seeing a project in a magazine showing a greetings card made by using a prick and stitch technique, I wondered if my lovely crafters at Sunnybank Day Care Centre would like a go at making a bookmark using the same method.
Well you know what happened next, even before I had my breakfast, yes I had to have a go.
Now bear in mind that all my stuff is making its way into another room ready for the new flooring next week, so I was limited with my materials.
Taa-daah.... this is the result.
There are loads of permutations we could use for this project... different shapes for the stitched part, lots of coloured threads, we could add beads, buttons, crimp the edges...  ooh the possibilities are endless. The back is plain. Using double sided tape I stuck a piece of card the same as the front to the back to give the bookmark more rigidity.
So look out for pictures in the forthcoming weeks of what the crafty club members make.

Oh well, back to shifting my stuff.... or shall I have a cup of tea first. Hmmm ?

    1. Hi Claire, it was quickish but I will have to stretch it out at Sunnybank. We start off our sessions with a list of facts on whatever project we are doing. This gets everybody talking and leads to some real giggling with the trivia my friend Susan manages to come up with. Thanks for popping by.

PS There seem to be more an more people this week with the Word Verification turned on, which slows us all down, making it harder to get round everyone. A lot of people are now not even trying to leave a message when they come up against the Word Verification. You can protect yourself just as well if you turn it off, and only allow publication once you have checked your messages. Just a thought, especially as it took me three goes to get through with poor eyesight..
