It's all about foraging for fabric this week
I paid a visit to the local Salvation Army Shop and picked up two cushions, a crotchet top and a curtain, for the grand total of £5.50
As soon as I got home I turned the curtain into a cover for the garden sofa seat pad with enough left to make a blind for the bathroom window. Then I fettled with some fabric pieces and made double sided seat pads for the chairs.
Donning my flowery charity shop frock I draped myself across the sofa looking like an English rose type of lady and waited for the weary welder to arrive home. Then it lashed it down, so I had to abandon that plan. Serves me right I should have been pulling them horrible weeds out that I've just noticed.
Back inside I've cut up more fabrics pieces to add to the patchwork curtains I'm making for the bedroom.
You do all know that I am not an accomplished seamstress so anything you see is comically known as The Rough & Ready Range. Don't check out my stitchwork if you call in for a cuppa.
I've done a bit more slow stitching on this wall hanging then had to give in as the golfers elbow flared up. Its amazing how you can get tennis/golfers elbow without even swinging a bat or a stick.
Finally I hope you all have a great creative week and that I can get to sit outside on my fancy furniture.
