To wash or not to wash that is the question

On Loose Women there was an item about what your lockdown hair
says about you. I’m going to hold up my hand and admit I’ve not washed my hair
since 31st December.  Generally my hairdresser friend of over 25 years
blow dries it every 7-10 days.

I’m not really a vain person but I can’t stand who I see in the mirror when my
hair hasn’t been done properly.

I’m not bothered about nails, eyebrows and all the other malarkey but if the
barnets not right I don’t like it.

So I’m sticking with it until it’s absolutely necessary to wash it.
Thankfully I’m not a smoker so it won’t smell.

Just because it’s winter it doesn’t stop me wearing my summer dresses
but what a toil I had with this one. I almost gave up and got back in my pjs.
This dress did not want to be covered up.  You’re  joking I said, it’s freezing out there.
Four different jumpers I tried on with it before the battle was won.

Charity shop Wallis dress, jumper & cardi.

OUTFITS FOR THE WEEK

My amazing 88 year old Mum posted this on her Facebook page yesterday.
How does she even know how to work it in the first place.  I don’t know
how or where to find these cartoons myself haha.

It’s a quiet weekend here in the Holland household.
No plans, I’m just in free flow until I find something
to grab my interest.

Hope you’ve found something to do that grabs yours.
If not sit back, chill out and wait and see what emerges.

  1. Oh dear! I think Blogger ate my comment.
Your Mum is far better than me with Socia Media, I struggle to share anything. That cartoon thingy is hilarious.
I much prefer wearing my cotton dresses through the winter, too. They are a challenge to layer up but you've worked your magic and look fabulous.
To wash or not to wash, that is the question. Do you use Batiste? They do a fantastic range these days and if you have a Superdrug loyality card it's free home delivery if you spend a tenner! xxx

    1. I’ve had to succumb to washing it Vix. The style was still there after giving a good comb through but my scalp wasn’t looking great. Not bad though for 31 days. Thanks for the tip off. I have to be careful what I use as my head is super sensitive so I use as little as possible on it and it’s mostly ok. I’ll have a look at Superdrug for other stuff though. That free delivery is great xxx

  2. I'm with Vix, in that your Mum is much better with social media than I am. I'm still finding it a miracle that I was able to start my blog, and get on to Facebook and Instagram :-) I can stretch to not washing my hair to a maximum of four days, but I'll have to wear a hat when I'm out for the last two. Not sure what I'm going to do once it gets warmer ... I've never been any good with layering my Summer dresses in Winter! xxx

  3. You always look so nicely dressed up. I rarely make an effort because I'm mostly just around the house, only seeing family. Today I have been wearing very scruffy trakkies and a fleece because I have been touching up some paintwork and working on miniature things in my craft room, and now I've changed into my pj bottoms!!

  4. I would never have thought to wear a jumper over a dress. I am definitely putting my dress and jumper on tomorrow.I might even splash a bit of makeup around.

    1. Well done you. I’m glad I’ve come in handy haha.
A bit of mascara does the trick, I think xx

  5. my mum is hopeless if she zooms me she will cancel it mid point or shout and wake the youngest two up! Or she will call us up at odd hours as she forgets the time difference! She deletes txts and asks how to get them back ! She’s no good.
