Is it my age or is time flying by at a right rate of knots. Where did August go it has flown by.
It was filled with friends, family, my never ending birthday, lots of wonderful cards and beautiful presents, my sister coming back up north on a visit for the first time since February, lots of good books, a return to eating out and one or two new frocks, a posh handmade cardi and a night at our little caravan in the Lake District. Fabulous.
So what of September ?
You won’t hear me moaning and ranting about nights drawing in, the state of the country, the fear of a second wave etc etc etc.
Instead I’m looking at the good stuff, appreciating the small things. Sunshine, smiles, good food, a nice cuppa, a good book, a night telly watching, birds singing, a nice bath or shower, seeing my neighbours, the friendly postman, gawping out the window, daydreaming. You get the idea.
You might think I’m a bit of a Pollyanna, seeing everything with rose tinted spectacles. I’m not, I’m like everyone else, I have my problems and worries and I’m not blind to all that is going on. But all the moaning and ranting in the world is not going to make me feel one bit better. I am tired of listening to it and it being the normal way of how we all talk when in fact there is so much to celebrate and be grateful for. So I’m declaring September a whinge free month.
Happen I should get a placard or a mask with WHINGE & RANT FREE ZONE printed on it haha.
Enjoy all that this beautiful month presents to you and stay safe and aware.
Beans on toast for tea. Care to join us.
