Here it is, finished at last, a little book bag to protect an old precious autograph album.

If you haven’t seen the album you can link across here to see the inside A VERY SPECIAL ALBUM dated 1919.
Had my posh frock on again yesterday to take Mum for lunch at our go to place, Park Farm Shop & Tearoom. My friend and her mum were there too. It all felt very normal despite the troubled times we are all sharing.
Even so, though we enjoy the drive over the hills to get there and feel comfortable and safe while we are there, we both agreed it’s good to get back home after.
Hope all my desk hopping friends are well and being creative. Blogland is such a great place to be.
Looking forward to seeing what you’ve all been upto this week.

You are to kind dear Jan.
DeleteLovely to see you so focused
Stay well and safe xx
Hi Lynn. Well done - the book bag looks good. Glad you were able to get out for tea and a gander around. I know what you mean though - getting home again afterwards is something rather good, isn't it?! The "new normal" isn't normal at all...
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.
Margaret #7
It’s not normal Margaret and snatching moments here and there of simple pleasures is so important.
DeleteTake care lovely lady xx
that is such a beautiful way to keep a treasure Miss Lynn, I wonder why we aren’t all doing it. Wait. Oh, yes, I know why we aren’t. Skill. Hmm. Extremely glad that you get to don your posh frock, because it’s lovely, because it’s lovely to dress up and because it’s lovely to see you Mum and bonus, to see friends too! yep, we’re still living a careful life and really enjoying it when we do get out a bit, which is really how it should be isn’t it. Keep stitching gal, I can’t live properly without the odd swoon at your stuff.
ReplyDeleteYou’re a tonic Mrs D xxx
DeleteThat's a lovely way to protect a treasure, Lynn and so pretty, much like your dress.
ReplyDeleteIt's surprising how normal being out can be isn't it, although I know what you mean about it nice to be home again. I'm glad you enjoyed your lunch, sounds perfect.
Have a good week
Hugs Lisax #13
thats a gorgeous bag for the album. We traveled to the sea the other day and even though it was 30 miles away and no one about, I was still pleased to be home. Have a great week . Soojay #14
ReplyDeleteHI Lynn, what a beautiful and perfect way to keep a precious album, I'm totally going to copy that idea, it looks so pretty. Love your dress as well. Happy WOYWW-day :) Annie C #17
ReplyDeleteIm glad I’ve inspired you Annie. Clapping my hands here Hee hee
DeleteLynn xx
Hi Lynn, loving the album bag and the dress. Popped over for a look at the album, you're right it is very special. It looks to me like someone I could relate to who has collected odds and ends and then decided to mount them all together in an album. I am guilty of collecting things like this but have not got round to putting them all together in one place. Have a lovely creative woyww, Angela x11x
ReplyDeleteIt’s a beautiful album but it’s fallen in bits so needed some protection.
DeleteLook after yourself Angela

That is a great bag for your precious album, such a darned good idea too.
ReplyDeleteLove the flower that is shown alongside your posh frock! it matches your cardi.
Maybe when times are much better I will visit the tea rooms and bump into someone who is a blogging friend, after all it is in my old stomping ground - well almost (Rawtenstall)
Hugs, Neet xx 6
We will definitely have to go for our lunch together Neet xx
DeletePosh frocks and tea rooms... I love your life. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI’m thinking of moving my bed in there Colette, I’ve been that often haha. Thinking of you often xxx
DeleteBeautiful dress, I love the colour! The book bag is lovely too. Glad you enjoyed your trip out - everything is all so different these days I can totally get feeling glad to be home even though you had a good time. I guess we will all get used to it in time. Happy woyww, stay safe, stay well, Cindy #8
ReplyDeleteIt’s all a bit bizarre and we have to snatch the small moments of normality don’t we Cindy
DeleteTake care xx
I have admired your book bags before and thought 'I must do that' but inspired by this latest lovely one - and its contents - I am now actually getting stuff organised!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, although in theory I am happy to go out again, after a relatively short time I am getting 'twitchy' and just want to get back home. It isn't helped by the little town I live in relying heavily on tourism, and it now seems very busy indeed after all those quiet months!
Oh I’m excited to see what you come up with Julia.
DeleteWe are very selective where we go. It’s mainly two little markets and the tearoom.
From one twitcher to another, stay safe xx
glad your posh frock got another outing! I agree it does feel good to get home after outings these days! love the book bag - how beautiful! Helen #2
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely book bag and your "posh frock" really is very posh! You seemed to have had a lovely outing with your mum. I hope to see my mum soon - I haven't seen her since January!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week, stay well,
Lots of hugs,
Cardarian
Hope you get to see your Mum soon. I’m longing to see my sister who lives in Oxford and has had to work all the way through lockdown.
DeleteStay well xx
The bag is gorgeous and what a great way to protect the book! Your dress is very pretty and how nice to visit with family.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Carol N #21
That bag is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGlad you managed to have a 'normal' trip out!!
Stay safe and keep well
Susan #15
Thanks Susan. Stay well and safe yourself. Happy crafting xx
Deleteits beautiful, what a lovely way to keep something so special free from dust. I am glad you went somewhere you felt normal. It’s sad when you feel you have to pick and choose we’re you go now.
ReplyDeleteAnd home is we’re you feel safest. I was glad to get back from the hospital yesterday, we had a little walk near a quiet park there, but I know what you mean. East, west home is best! Take care and keep safe.
Hope you are feeling okay. A little walk in nature is good for the headspace.
DeleteTake care Allie xx
I love your little book bag, Lynn, and your posh frock is gorgeous! So glad you had a nice time out.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi x #19
Thanks Shoshi. Keep well and safe and crafting xx
DeleteYour book bag is gorgeous, Lynn, and any excuse to wear that fabulous frock will do in my book. Sometimes things do feel like normal, but not for very long, as there's always something there to remind you and spoil the game! It's lovely to be able to go out and have lunch in a place you feel safe in. The only thing we managed so far is have a coffee sitting outside a café in a park. We didn't plan it, but saw a little table with nobody else in sight so just plonked ourselves down. xxx
