I’m going in .........

This morning I donned my Pilates gear intending to do my practice but then discovered my old heated rollers under a pile of stuff.  My mop can’t look any worse for putting them in surely I thought.

So in for a penny in for a pound, I got out the scissors and snipped at the fringe.  I’ve got such a mass of hair it’ll be good to get it chopped properly eventually.

So back to the Pilates practice.........

Well no ........

I then came across a tin of paint I’d bought for the Welsh dresser last year. Typical me I’d given it one coat then moved onto something else meaning to go back to it later.

So now I’m up a ladder using furniture paint to cover a wall in my workroom.  The welder has disappeared out of the house as he can’t cope with my slapdash ways.  It makes him twitchy.

Don’t worry said I,  I’ll put one coat on and then you can finish it off properly.

The next thing I knew it was time to go and meet my bestie.(this is a photo of us from 5 years ago when we were on an outing for my 60th birthday).

Today we were meeting up outside Healey Dell Tearooms in the rain.  I’d ordered us a lunch bag each and takeout lattes.
So with cars parked up next to each other we chatted away for a couple of hours and scoffed our sandwiches and cakes.
Some laughing, some crying, no hugging, but happy to be in each other’s company.

I’d like to tell you I came home and did my Pilates practice and finished off the painting but I didn’t.

After calling in on Mum, having a natter with her it was back home, the heating switched on and a massive cup of tea made before hunkering down in front of the telly with beans on toast for tea.  It’s like winter out there now not mid June brrr !!!

Never mind there’s always tomorrow to have a go at.  I’m taking mum out for a short country drive, she’s not been anywhere other than a walk round the block and in her garden for three months.  She is in my bubble so I think I’ve got it right that I can have her in my car.

Stay safe and keep smiling.
Over and out
