My trendy Mum

Mother’s Day treat.

86 years old and rocking her own style in her tartan pinafore and though you can’t see them she has coloured opaque tights and trendy ankle boots on.

Here she is with her friend of 55 years, my 80 year old glamorous Auntie Jill.
Aren’t they a gorgeous pair.

Never to old for a cuddle.

And she loved her pecking bird
wooden toy and pop up bird book

If  my Mum doesn’t make you smile nobody will.

She couldn’t understand why the kettle was empty the other day when she knew full well she’d switched it on and where the heck’s that coffee satchet gone she thought.
Hahaha
She had already brewed up and put it next to her chair.
Don’t know why I’m laughing I’m like that now at 63

Lynn xx

  3. Your mum certainly rocks! She looks great fun and I am not surprised she is trendy when she has such a lovely daughter as you. Would have loved to have seen her down to her ankle boots - she and her friend are a great advert for 80 year olds in this day and age. 80 is the new 70
    Hugs, Neet xx
ps give her a hug from me

  4. Your mum is great! I can see who you get it from! You certainly have inherited her dress sense. Nice to see your auntie Jill. 55 Years of friendship is a lot.
My mum is 95 and is also on the ball and enjoying life. Unfortunately she is practically blind and that limits her somewhat.
    Have a great weekend,
    Lisca

  5. What a lovely lady, and she sounds great fun to spend time with. I once made that crocheted hippo - happypotomus I think it was called, and I've since made the pony and dog all in the African flower motifs.
You mum certainly looks happy in her own style. I think she is looking forward to trying those scones. Kate x

  6. Sorry I'm so late calling round today....I've had a really busy day making two more memory bears and then shortened 2 pairs of jeans and sadly work has to come first.
Lovely photos of your mum....I can see where you get your good style from.
    Hugs,
    Annie x

  8. What a great lady your mum is! She isn't letting a little thing like age get her down.
I've just seen what a gorgeous part of country youre in. I have heaps and heaps of family in Clitheroe. Whenever we have visited the folk there are so friendly to us.

  9. Great photo of your mum and friends. We are so lucky to still have them. My mum is 90 now and though she's had a few problems over the last couple of years she still enjoys a day out. Hope your weekend is a happy one, Angela xXx
