I forked out a tenner

I’ve had to wait since Saturday to show you what I’ve made this week.  I nearly bust a gut keeping it secret, but I wanted to share it with my deskhopping friends.

So apart from nearly poking my eye out and sustaining a couple of scratches along the way, what do you think of my cutlery wind chime.

I’m a bit chuffed with it and intend making some more.
I went on a two hour workshop at Touchstones art gallery in Rochdale, Lancashire (UK).  The best £10 I’ve spent in ages.  It included all the materials and an instruction print out

  2. Oh wow, that's fantastic - it looks brilliant hanging in your sunshiney garden! The workshop sounded great, I wouldn't have minded doing that one either. Clever you!

  3. I've always fancied doing some of those bendy cutlery pieces. Wish I had known about the workshop, sounds real good value for money and what a lovely wind chime you ended up with.
Worth all the scratches I think - it looks fab in your garden.

  4. Hi Lynn. That's brilliant! Does it play in a major or a minor key I wonder? I'll guess it sounds lovely when the wind is blowing.
    Take care. God bless.

  6. Wow, your altered cutlery is amazing! What fun. I've seen jewellery made of it, but never a wind chime. Something like that could be good for scaring the birds off your veg patch, too, I expect, because the sun would reflect off the spoons.

  13. That's a fantastic wind chime, and what a great course - sounds like it was worth every penny. I adore old cutlery and have a jug full - I used to bend it and shape it for different projects but I don't know that my old arthritic fingers would be up to the job now - I can barely get a lid off a jar!
Hope you have a great week,

  14. Hi Lynn. Love how you used the cutlery. My friend bought a little metal bird in the garden centre the other week and it was only later that we realised it had been made with a fork. It was so sweet. Have a lovely creative woyww and a happy Easter too. Angela x17x

  15. How fab Lynn, worth every penny that workshop. We have a pickle fork that presents a rude gesture but it does the job of getting hold of those onions :))
