The curse of the creative eye

This piece of packaging was on its way to the recycling bin when the curse of the creative eye took hold and I ended up roaming round the house using it as a frame.

Creating collages of crafts and techniques I’ve previously tried is my plan for looking at what direction I want to go next.
I do admire you ladies that have a particular talent and build on it.  I’m more of a Jack of all trades and master of none.

You can see more of my collages in the last blog post.

  1. Never underestimate yourself Lynn you are marvellous at what you do. We all have an inner thirst for creativity, there's so much loveliness around us. Just like you saving that packaging and using it to frame the world around. So inspiring!

  2. That's such a great way of looking at things differently - you have such a clever way with ideas and art. I'm so pleased that the bunting was ok...please don't worry about pics, the poor gal must be overwhelmed at the moment with a new baby (I know I was!)

  3. Hi Lynne, interesting you saying about being a 'Jack of all trades'. A friend posted something about that on FB today, and apparently, the 'Master of None' was added at a later date. The actual Jack of all trades part was originally a high compliment to a person who had taken the time to learn a variety of different skills to a good level. It seems the Master of none was added , probably by disgruntled Master skillspeople! Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4 X

  5. Morning Lynne. Your post is lovely - and being creative is most definitely NOT a curse - You are a highly creative person, and have a beautiful style - all your own. You are unique and created in the image of a creator God - weyhey!!! - that means you simply have no option but to create - good, hey??? I'm with Shaz - Jack of all trades is a compliment!
    Take care. God bless.

  6. Nothing wrong with being a jack of all trades and master of none - that's how I describe myself. Methinks it's a lot more interesting and enjoyable than doing one thing only. I love your collages and your use of the packaging material - shows your creative side.

  7. I would never have thought of using that packaging like that - you have a gift which I wish I also possessed. We are all individuals which makes us different and imagine if we were all the same - how boring life would become.
Stay as you are Lynne, we all love you for being you.

  8. You're good at everything, don't do yourself down, Mrs!!!
Just look at what an eye you have. That first image is worthy of framing.
My creative mojo finally returned yesterday - hooray! Photos to follow (depending on Jon's mood.) xxx
