In the Mail newspaper today they are running a spread on celebrities wearing frocks made from curtains
What about us commoners who’ve been doing it for years.
The difference is we use recycled curtains
Usually ones found in a charity shop
and then my clever friend Val will knock me a frock
up in time for less than £20
Bet the celebs didn’t get theirs for that.
Lots of my friends run their own up from recycled curtains, bed sheets and duvet covers.
Beautiful transformations, alls fair in yardage,, sheets have so many possibilities, curtains as well! I love night gowns made from sheets oh and pj bottoms, old sheets are soft and buttery, so so soft!
ReplyDeleteYour outfits are not only thrifty but beautiful too. And I'll wager those celebrities are paying a great deal more than you. I like nothing better than trawling through charity shops but have not taken much notice of the curtain/sheet section - I will in future!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to see your post! You're certainly wearing curtain couture better than any celeb, and at a fraction of the price to boot! xxx

ReplyDeleteThe Daily Mail are way behind the times - anything the celebs can do we do better - sending less money and delivering with panache! xxx
