What's not on my desk this week

Well we are home from a nice few days at the caravan.
Do you like the plate ?  I picked it up for £2.50.

There's nothing to show you on my desk this week as I'm busy being a good housewife.  I've even had the vac out.
So I hope you will forgive me.  I'm being creative by moving everything round, it's the only way I can cope with the boredom of cleaning haha.

Don't think I will be needing my sun hat after all this cleaning, it's lashing down outside.
Might as well stay in with a nice cuppa and a good book

  1. I like the idea of having a good move around in order to get thy cleaning done - might try that myself!

  2. Ooer housework!! That's nearly as bad as filling in tax forms hehehe. Glad you had a good time away in the caravan.
Hope you have a fun week.

  3. I gave up housework a while back as not been feeling too good lately. Have noticed if I leave it long enough my husband does some! LOL. I did clean the downstairs loo of all the erroneous stuff which had gathered and the out of date stuff from the cabinet yesterday but hubby didn't even notice!!! Hope your efforts are noticed. BJ#9

  4. Oh I do this with much less artistic effect. Moving crap from one room to another doesn't really create such lovely photogrpahic vignettes! Hope you have a good and restful few days.

  7. I know I would love everything in your house - it's so lovely to see tempting little glimpses! I especially love the little orange vase and I'm getting restless for Autumn now so I can put out all my orangey, browny, acorny stuff!!
Oh, and now I feel guilty - how can I sit and blog, and do art while you're working your backside off doing housework - I could draw pictures in my dust at the moment - thanks!!!

  9. Have you had a rush of blood to the head? That's the only possible explanation for getting the Hoover out :-D. Hope you're having a good stay in the caravan despite the rain.
Btw, you're most welcome to come and stay anytime if you fancy a trip down south - after reading your blogs, I've got a fancy to visit Todmorden one day soon!

  10. Oh how you made me laught today Lynn! Your phnotos are lovely, your plate find is awe inspiring for those of us who live in Canada, and your coment about being a "good wife" really hit home as I have been playing the Good Wife also, busy processing all the fruit and veggies the husband has grown so far this year. (And ONLY because I love HIM, not the work! Grin) Happy WOYWW - Scrapbook Lynne #2

  11. No, it doesn't look like you need that sun hat any time soon! But let's hope it's not the end of the summer yet! I always do some vacuuming when I feel my husband might be a bit grumpy about my spending too much time on my art - that and a good meal always shut him up for a while LOL. Enjoy the rest of the summer! zsuzsa #21

  12. Ah yes a good move around does help it too look tidier! I employ that tactic a lot here. Thanks for sharing. Take care Zo xx 25

  13. Needs must and sometimes the vac has to come out. I'm in luck as Jos does most of the housekeeping while I'm at work. That reminds me: I once had a colleague sporting a moustache. He'd broken a mug and took out the vac, upon which all the rest of the colleagues spontaneously started singing: I want to break free ... ;-)

  14. Housework. It's a necessary evil. I don't enjoy the activity but I do enjoy the results. Hope you are enjoying the new vistas you've created, you good housewife, you xxx

  16. I do the same thing when I do a good cleaning. Heck, I used to change the orientation of our kitchen table every week when I mopped. My hubs would just lovingly shake his head at me. ha. At least I don't do that anymore. Hope your cleaning is done soon and you can craft. Me, I need to start cleaning. Have a great week. LisaDV #23

  17. I have had my fair share of cleaning with these renovations this past month. Now to relaxy time, hopefully, and a good book plus crafting seem the way to do it.
Thought of you when we went to Gordon Riggs (Todmorden) last week, when I saw the tiny house on the way down to the Gauxholme Viaduct. Next time I must get a photograph to show you. Not sure if you travel this way or not when you have your trips to Tod.
Lovely plate and can imagine it will fit in in so many places in your home.
    Hugs, Neet 1 xx

  18. I had the brilliant idea of making my own floor cleaner from olive oil, white vinegar, lemon juice and hot water and did the house from top to bottom in June - that's it till Autumn now (but it did smell nice for a while!)
Loving the tantalising peep at your home, can't wait to see it for real! xxx
