Friday Smiles

There's been lots to smile about this week including
spending a week with my little sis who lives in Witney, Oxford.

A trip to Blenheim Palace to see the Giffords Circus show
 The Painted Wagon.
We went to see our favourite band My Darling Clementine at Fat Lil's Club (love that name) in Witney on the first night.

These crazy sculptures are in the gardens of the library in Summertown
where I picked up this maxi skirt for £5 in my favourite
charity shop - Helen & Douglas House Hospice.
They have a full department devoted to vintage & retro.

Could have stayed forever in the Organic Gardens & Cafe at Cassington

We ended our week with a visit to Walsall to see lovely friends Vix & Jon and their fantastic home.

See you guys in August xx

Sorry about the blurry pics I can't get them to load from my phone to pc

  2. Giffords Circus is brilliant isn't it? Monkeychild always enjoys her annual visit. Lovely maxi skirt, it was a great buy - perfect for summer (if we have a decent one!) xx

  5. It looks like you had a lovely time. Ooh! Your friends car looks fantastic. I had an Anglia in that colour but I can't make out what it is from the photo.

  8. Goodness, Lynn. What an amazing week you had. I was truly impressed with the amount of things you did and the places you went. Your photos didn't look blurry to me, just full of wonderful memories. Have a super Friday and weekend, too.

  9. You have been busy - stitching, shopping, gigging, circusing and spotting some cracking sites - maybe I need a pair of jeans to cover the naked mannequin's legs in our garden. I'll be scaring Postman Izzi! xxx

  11. Hi Lynn,
The garden sculptures are so funny and very clever! I love the photos of the flowers; so beautiful. I honestly don't think your photos are blurry at all - it's an artistic twist is all. Glad you were able to meet up with some friends and go see one of your favorite bands!

It's been ages since I've joined Friday Smiles, let alone do any posting. Still can't put my finger on why.....

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
    Hugs,
    Kay

  12. What a lot of fab things to look at. Love your maxi skirt! You look very good in it. What a find. (I was a charity shop queen when I lived in England. I love mooching around and I always found the most stunning outfits.)
The sculptures are such fun, and the concert amazing. What a good week you've had.
I like the sweet peas in one of the photos and also your friend Vix's dress and the classic car behind them in the photo.
    Thanks for visiting,
    Have a good week,
    Blessings,
    Lisca

  14. Witney? Is that the PM's constituency? I think it's rather an affluent area? I've never been down there I don't think. Bet it's beautiful. Sounds like you had a fab time. You look like a beautiful garden yourself in that frock, Lynn. This is a rare treat; two photos of you and a bonus pic of Vix and Jon! That organic cafe looks wonderful. I hope it smelled of sweet peas. That hospice shop sounds like it could be all of our favourite shop. Imagine if we descended en made! Xxx
