What a fantastic day Sunday was at Stockport Vintage Village,
absolutely buzzing with people, great music and the sound of scooters who had come for the Modernist Fair
If it wasn't for Alan's beard it would be hard to tell him apart from Mr Dapper Chap.
They even have the same good taste in scooters.
As they both picked out the winner of the Best Scooter.
Chris Penn of the Northern Templars scooter club with his 1966 Lambretta SX200
There were some real beauties
Meanwhile inside we caught up with trader friends including Vix and Jon.
Thanks for giving me your Dad's music scores Vix.
From Pat & Matthew of A Vintage Affair I picked up these old cigarette albums
and ciggy packets to use in craft projects.
This gorgeous leather case from Sarah at Tin Trunk will also be having new life breathed into it.
Mr DC picked up these to add to his ever expanding wardrobe

I will be revealing tomorrow what this is.
I've added a clue for the last "time" of guessing.
You can see more pics of the fair and find out about
the traders in the link above or on the side bar
Looks like you had another great day out. Allan could be Philip's twin (the older one obviously!)Is the wall hanger for putting your pocket watch on?
ReplyDeleteOh! Something to do with cleaning horses hooves?!
ReplyDeleteStockport sounds fab. I've never been on a vespa. Have you?
You two must be the sharpest dressed couple in Lancashire. It's always lovely to see Vix and Jon. Xxx
It seems you had a great day at Stockport, and how well-dressed your Mr. Dapper Chap is. I'm going to show his picture to Jos, my husband. Not that it will help but you never know ... xxx
ReplyDeleteYou are our best dressed visitors! Funny how Mr Dapper and Al were almost twins, wasn't it? xxx
