What's on my workdesk today ........

There will be some crafting going on this weekend now
we have finished gallivanting around the country
I'm prepping for Saturdays workshop as we speak
But here's a new friend that we brought home from
an Aladdins Cave of an antique shop in Kendal.
Harvey the bear with his lovely jumper.
Well we couldn't leave him there for the sake of £5.50 could we.

Also I must get my nose out of this brilliant book and get on with counting out 80 safety pins for each of my crafty ladies.
They can count out their own beads haha
There is always time for a sweep around some more crafty desks over at Julia's blog first though.

  1. Harvey is very cute, I'm so glad you have given him a new forever home :D Your book looks interesting too.
Gosh, lots of counting going on at your house on Saturday; 80 safety pins and even more beads! Should be fun if someone starts counting sheep, lol {{Hugs}} xxx

  2. Hi Lynn. What are you going to do with safety pins full of beads? I do hope you show us next week. Have a fun week.

  3. Oh, I'm liking the look of your next creative project. Your little ceramic tray looks like a poodle one that Pat and Matthew gave me (Vintage Affair). Can't wait to see your creation. xxx

  4. That bear in a jumper indeed looks too cute to be abandoned. Counting safety pins? That might be quite a task!

  5. Yep, I completely simply had to bring Harvey home with you, it would have been unbearable to leave him there ;-)
And I don't blame you for leaving the bead counting to the ladies...that's one step too far for workshop kitting!!
    Hugs, LLJ 12 xxx

  6. Harvey definitely had to go home with your Lynn, I have a small collection of bears too. Would also love to see the bead artworks. Enjoy your workshop and week Cheers RobynO#29

  7. Pins and beads...I'm in! Harvey is quite the bead keeper too. Isn't crafting the greatest? I am looking forward to some time on Saturday in my craftroom and it will be wonderful. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #40

  8. 80 pins each?... what on earth are they making with them>? ... hmmmm...

I love twirling my fingers in a bowl of little beads....

  9. Harvey's looking good in his Arran sweater!
80 safety pins each? How many ladies are coming to your workshop, that could be a LOT of pins! xxx

  10. A favorite quote of Pooh bears which could refer to when you first met Harvey...

"I knew when I met you an adventure was going to happen.”
    ― A.A. Milne

Dont you just love it when that happens xxxxxxxx have a beautiful workshop xxxx

  11. I love your little Teddy - and what a bargain he was. I am intrigued as to what your ladies will be doing with 80 pins each - that's an awful lot of brooches! I'm really looking forward to seeing what you create.

  12. Harvey is really cute, I wouldnt have left him either

  13. Oh such a cutie - little Harvey and his cosy jumper! x jo

  14. Oh yes, you couldn't let Harvey behind! He is seriously cute!
80 pins? Are you having 80 ladies? You are going to be busy and not just with the counting and the beading pins, but the workshops must be quite an experience! Please show us pictures of the workshop and what you made. I'd love to see more.
    Have a good week,

  15. I love that book! So much so I created an art journal called Language of Flowers based on the meaning of flowers. I hope you enjoy it. Can't image filling 80 safety pins with all those beads! Thank you for the lovely comment earlier.

    1. I am enjoying the book Diane, its so thought provoking and I can see how you would have been inspired to create an art journal.
I think it would make a fantastic film, dont you.
