Our craft gang had a lovely time yesterday at Park Farm, Ramsbottom, Lancashire when the hardworking team there hosted a two day 1940's Sing-A-Long Afternoon Tea in aid of the local Dementia Society.
It was nice to see people dressed up in their vintage outfits.
The afternoon tea was gorgeous.
I will be booking in again for another of these.
Over a 100 people attended and
we were entertained by a mother and daughter team
who got us all singing along to the songs of the 1940's
We had a quiz as well, which I got the booby prize of
a turnip for having the least correct answers.
I was okay on the music ones but rubbish on the history ones.
Here's me with Susan and Judith two of the sisters that help
to run this fantastic family business.
They are a fabulous family and we all love visiting the tearooms, farm shop, florist and garden centre when we have our monthly craft meeting there.
Wish I had known about this - it is not far from where I live. Sounds like you had a super time.

Look like it was a wonderful event. I'll certainly visit there in the future, maybe before Christmas would be a nice time. I'm please to see that amongst the charities they support is Alder Hey Hospital. Right on my doorstep and that's where our hundred quilts went for the children in the oncology unit.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic initiative! I hope it raised lots of money fr the Dementia charity. And of course a good time was had by all. There's nothing like a good singalong.
