To craft or not to craft. That is the question....

 

I seem to be on a roll this week using old books and machine stitching.

Its not helping with the preparations for my Easter Beginners Craft Workshops that start on Saturday 7th March.

 

Nor is it getting those pots and pans washed

or the office work done.

I seem to be on a roll this week using old books and machine stitching.

Its not helping with the preparations for my Easter Beginners Craft Workshops that start on Saturday 7th March.

Just couldn't leave it alone......

 

Well I just couldn't leave that other watercolour alone,

 I had to mess about with it.

Look how it ended up.

I've been back into the old flower book and ripped out some more pages.

Photocopied some stamps

then machine stitched them to the watercolour.

I wonder what the lady who did the painting in the first place would think.

Hope she wouldn't mind.

There's more to come tomorrow when I show you something else I have worked on.

Yesterday I upcycled these watercolour paintings 

I bought some years ago at a local art week event.

YESTERDAY'S LINK

This looked nice with the zigzag stitches around it, 

but then I got carried away and ended up 

totally destroying it and threw it in the bin.

Carrying on with my machine stitching everything in sight, I tore some pages out of an old book, layered them up and stitched this flower on.

Look what happened next

I retrieved the destroyed watercolour from the bin, 

cut it up then stitched it onto the book pages.

I had a nice frame waiting to be used that my friend Anne had given me 

and here's where I've ended up.

Now to go and see if I can wreck the other watercolour.

Blog writer Emma Made was looking at colour this weekend after she had bought a pair of teal skinny jeans and had worn them all week. Have a look what she wrote here EMMA MADE.  

 It got me thinking about my favourite vintage suede pinafore dress that I wear constantly, then the next I knew I was taking photo's of different textures around the house with similar colourways.
