IN CLOUD NINE.......

No you didn't read that wrong I was in CLOUD 9 GALLERY, 7a Union Street, Bacup, Lancs., with my friend Susan.
It is a new gallery that has opened near where I live.
It is owned by three artists who have sourced makers and artists from around the country.  This lovely textile hanging is by Ruth Zanoni.
Its now hanging on the inspiration wall in my studio.  It was hard to choose which one to have. Think I might be putting in a request for another for my birthday next month.
This delightful piece is by A THOUSAND PAPER WISHES and its a birthday present come leaving present for my friend and neighbour. You unroll the map and write a message on the inside.
LITTLE PIP DESIGNS make these wonderful cards, book covers and coasters.
I am definitely going back and I wish the girls lots of luck in their new venture.
On our way upto CLOUD NINE we stopped off at the local craft and food fair and I got these lovely pins.
I have used them to pin things on the mood boards on my inspiration wall.  They were made by a friend of mine Brenda Howarth.  They are so much nicer than drawing pins.
When we got home we had some gorgeous homemade soup and bread made by Anna of Field Top Kitchen. Another local trade, and its delivered to your door free.

All the names I have mentioned can be found on Facebook.

  5. That looks a lovely place to have close by - lucky you! The pins are gorgeous and I love the little red girl textile hanging. I keep meaning to try my hand at making my own decorative pins but it's just another thing I'm going to get around to one day - I have the beads and the pins but not the inclination at the moment - now I wonder where I left it!

  6. I think you might become a regular visitor to that shop Lynn - and who could blame you! Your purchases are beautiful. I can just see Doodly Bird styled like the Pip bird too. The pins are very pretty too. Glad that you got to meet up with Susan and that you had a lovely day. Hugs, Anne xx
